Is your wedding vibe MOHO and you don’t even know so? Kylie, and The Wedding Academy team, are giving name to this increasingly popular wedding style, and we’re very interested:
MOHO, or ‘Modern Boho,’ is the essence of evolving trends, born from both ethereal and abstract elements. For this styled vignette, the team wanted to highlight the seasonal revivals of popular mainstream trends, rather than fleeting designs from one year to the next. With the ‘MOHO’ design, the team hopes to inspire couples to embrace the juxtaposition between soft and striking, growing into the must-have style of 2020. The touches of organic textures, cotton linens, pampas grasses, and rattan will remain, but contemporary twists will add pops of vibrancy. Luxurious shades of grape compote, cinnamon stick, and saffron give an air of relaxed elegance, but edgy and urban when layered within design details and ornate installations.
Give us all the MOHO inspiration, because we’ve been into this style for years! Let’s explore some modern bohemian wedding inspiration with the revisitation of a once very popular color – mint! 2020 is already shaping up to be a stylish year for weddings.
Luckily, Rachel Takes Pictures, and we’ve got inspo at our fingertips:
MOHO Tablescape
This color palette is incredible! We love the variations of green used in this tablescape; from sea foam and mint, to teal and celery…it all works beautifully!
This Neo Mint-colored cake by Peboryon gives good shape, and is perfectly topped with stylishly bleached flowers.
Perfectly Plated
How cute is that turquoise, artistic plating next to the modern gold flatware? Pulling in more modern feels with these paper goods by Ink & Paper Design.
Modern Bohemian Bride
Heart Aflutter bringing us not one, but two stunning MOHO dresses – this one with the satin skirt and high slit. We love the high slit balanced by the high, lacy neckline.
Will we see more bridal braids in 2020? Hannah Monk created this unique fishtail braid that falls right along the open back of the wedding dress.
Flooding of Floral
Blume Studio creates utter magic here with the paired back, semi-monochromatic floral arrangements. From a maximalist standpoint, this trend combines bold statement pieces seamlessly – elevated from 2019’s earthy red, rust, and neutral color palette to introduce more of a modern feel.
MOHO Bridal Queen
Cue the boho bridal moment here with this gorgeous 70s-inspired stunner + rad crown by Tilly Thomas Lux.
Would you rock those sleeves? The lace embroidery is to die for!
Grand Cake Stands
We think cakes this beautiful deserve a grand showing!
Are acrylic pillars *the new* cake stand pedestals? Only time will tell what 2020 has in store for weddings!
