Flowers are never a bad idea and when you cover your girls in head-to-toe floral prints, it just amps up the pretty! When Grace + Dillon began planning their boho wedding at The Barn at Lost Creek, they knew they wanted it to have a fun, festival atmosphere that would bring the party to their guests. Anne-Claire Allen, the couple’s event designer, wowed as she took inspiration from the bride’s beloved floral bridesmaids dresses and created a flower-filled wonderland for this outdoor wedding. All of the girls rocked dainty flower crowns, the paper goods featured delicate floral and herb patterns, and a stunning floral entrance welcomed guests to the reception!
G shared more with us about how her inspiration came from the bridesmaids dresses:
When we initially talked about what we wanted for our wedding, we agreed that what was most important was that it was a fun event with all our closest friends and family. I decided on my bridesmaid dresses before anything else related to the wedding. They were definitely a major inspiration for the entire wedding!
Laurken Kendall Photo was there to capture every dainty detail. Scroll along with us and let’s have a look!
Delicate and Floral
Paper Supply Company nailed the vision with these handwritten script invitations on worn, woven paper. They totally look like something out of a romantic Jane Austen novel!
Hippy Chic Bridal Fashion
G’s Inmaculada Garcia gown is perfect for floating and frolicking through a meadow. We love the tiered tulle and lace skirt! Here’s what she shared about the search for the perfect wedding dress:
My mom, sister and I were planning our annual girls trip shortly after we got engaged, so we decided to go to nyc to look for my dress and to the Hamptons to go to the LoveShackFancy flagship store! It was such a fun trip. I ended up finding my dress at the last of 6 appointments in nyc at Veka Bridal in Brooklyn, the cutest boutique with a small selection of dresses. It was also the last dress I tried on!
That bodice is to die for!!
Floral Bridesmaids Dresses
Here they are- the dresses that started it all! G knew right from the start that she wanted her girls to rock mismatched Love Shack Fancy floral bridesmaids dresses and we are in love! Each girl was able to honor her individual style, but the overall look couldn’t be more perfect for an outdoor, boho, floral-inspired wedding! Delicate olive and lavender adorned this simple and beautiful wedding cake by Boulevard Bread Company! The floral beauty continues!
I wouldn’t have been able to do it without a planner. Mine (Anne Claire Allen Owens) was especially amazing, but I can’t imagine the stress without a planner in general! Also, someone had told me before I started planning that the photographer really sets the tone for the day, and I couldn’t agree more. Having Laurken as our photographer was the best decision I made—Not only did our pictures turn out better than I could have imagined, but she made both Dillon and me feel so comfortable and able to really enjoy the day.
Florals + Candles = PERFECTION
Who else loves seeing fringe at weddings??
Congratulations Grace + Dillon! We loved every inch of your wedding from the boho party vibes and floral bridesmaids dresses, to the floral covered reception tent and fun neon signs! The GWS Team is wishing you both a life full of love!
