We consider ourselves very lucky to have seen some *epic* elopement destinations; from the Cyclades Islands to Portugal and many stunning spots in between. But when these two French lovers were debating where to elope, they looked for an eccentric + intense vibe…just like their love. And so it was…New York, New York!
It’s a New York City elopement that’s spellbinding! Rebecca shares some inspiration for their day: We didn’t want to organize a conventional wedding in France, so we chose to elope in NYC. It was our aim to be just the two of us facing this immense city full of surprise + romanticism. Of course, hiring the perfect wedding planner was very important, too; and this was made clear after meeting Assetou. Thanks to her, we could have a unique + memorable wedding that matched our style and personality!
It’s an artful romance that highlights our nation’s most iconic city with warm, autumnal colors + a sweet love story. Nicko + Kim Photography captured every loving moment:
Ceremony in Central Park
The most memorable moment was Rebecca’s entrance at the ceremony! It was all emotions, especially during the exchange of our wedding vows. It was a moment full of love, tears + authenticity!
Inked in New York City
Rebecca’s classic wedding gown from Grace Loves Lace has a boho twist and BELONGS here in Central Park.
Processional: Wonderwall by Oasis
Recessional: Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran
First Dance: No first dance – but a vintage, checkered cab ride instead!
Fierce floral crown + simple – but stunning – bridal bouquet by Agnes de Villarson.
Checkered Cab
What’s more New York than a checkered cab? The NYC subway, we suppose. But don’t worry…they’ll get there!
French Connection
Nicolas rocking the hell out of this forest green suit!
SO RAD! Rebecca’s custom bridal jacket is a major rocker vibe. We love it. (and if you love it as well, we’ve shared how you can DIY a custom leather jacket as well!)
Finest Cup of Coffee in New York City
Our advice is to follow your instincts and to have an excellent wedding planner by your side – someone who can be 100% trusted.
The newlyweds close with some pretty sweet sentiments: Our elopement in New York City was incredible + magical thanks to the choices we made. We have no regrets at all; and we recommend to couples who wish to get married, just the two of them and far from their home, to do it without hesitation! This experience will be etched on our hearts forever!
Cheers to R + N, and their rad NYC elopement! It’s one we’ll never forget. Bisou, bisou!
