Calling all adventurers! If this isn’t a million dollar view, then we don’t know what is! Tori + Justin, both avid backpackers and both madly in love, knew exactly where they wanted to promise forever to each other. The first time they won the permit lottery to hike into this natural wonderland, J proposed. When they won the lottery a second year in a row, they knew it was time to seal the deal! With their best friends in tow, they made their way into The Enchantments for a rad backpacking wedding unlike any we’ve ever seen!

This is the very first wedding in the Enchantments documented EVER. At least according to Google! This special couple brought their 4 closest and most physically capable friends along to be a part of this experience. Not only did they have to bring food and supplies for four days, they had to pack their wedding attire which included full suits, an elaborately beaded aka heavy wedding dress, and even dress shoes for the guys! They also brought 3 bottles of whiskey and a bottle of champagne for Justin and Tori to pop after the ceremony. There are no frills or trendy details for this wedding, no florals, no candles, no fancy tapestries. Those details didn’t matter to the couple, they simply wanted to share a meaningful experience with their closest friends.

Backpacking Wedding Ceremony
There were so many memorable moments, it’s hard to choose one. Climbing up Aasgard Pass was memorable because not only would we be greeted by the well-deserved view, we knew we were climbing our way up to where we’d commit our lives to each other. They say the best views are the ones you have to work the hardest for and we think of our marriage in the same way. Our best friends that made the climb meant the world to us. Sharing that experience with them and being surrounded by mountains and the people we love made it all so memorable. Justin said his most memorable moment was seeing how hot I (Tori) looked in my dress lol.
From T + J:
We really want to emphasize our kick-ass friends who made the trip so memorable. Our friends hiked up a bottle of champagne for us to pop right after our first kiss, they hiked up an entire fifth of whiskey, actually, there were 3 bottles of whiskey lol. Someone hiked up beer and wine too. They just wanted us to be able to celebrate like a proper reception at base camp!

The Newlyweds
T + J opted to go chic for their backpacking wedding which proves you don’t have to limit yourself just because you’re in the wilderness. We are in love with T’s glittering Justin Alexander gown from Brides for a Cause. J looked completely dashing in a DKNY suit.
Do something that’s truly special and unique to you two as a couple. Don’t worry about trends or pleasing others, just do what you feel is right for you. The experience of the day and making memories is what it’s all about.
