Abandoned Kasbah Elopement in Morocco

Imagine designing a creative shoot without having seen the final location AND knowing you only have a limited amount of time to get the shot. First of all, that sounds like a reality TV show we could totally get behind. But mainly, it just makes today’s colorful Moroccan elopement that much more MAGICAL. Talk about a dream team! With planning by Style Led Creatives‘ creative retreat and design by the UK-based Butler & White, it was one beautiful detail unfolding after the other:

The elopement ceremony takes place in an abandoned Moroccan palace deep in the heart of Morocco. The wooden doors and crumbling walls made for a fantastic backdrop for the elopement ceremony, sweetheart table, and portrait session. The Moroccan architecture is detailed and so romantic – a hidden gem shared to us by our location guides, Marruecos Experience. You would never believe we hadn’t seen the location before the shoot. The colours and textures matched perfectly with all our details!

Let’s dive into the dreamy photos by Dallin and Cienna Hassard Photography!

So much good texture! The stationery suite was inspired by the crumbling Kasbah walls and created by Acqua & Ink with handmade paper, deckled edges, and watery paint effects.

Laid-Back Groom + a Unique Wedding Dress

The groom went for a relaxed look in a sand-colored suit from ASOS and a pale pink shirt underneath.

The bride, on the other hand, wore a show-stopping two-piece wedding dress FULL of embellished details by Spanish designer, Alicia Rueda.

The top totally stuns with beautifully elaborate embroidery and beadwork while the skirt’s airy fabric created some magical movement. And the entire look wouldn’t be complete without those pink satin boots from ASOS + makeup by Louise Hill!

Ostrich Feathers + Textured Florals

The team was fully inspired by Morocco’s rich colors and textures, all reflected so perfectly in the colorful cloud-like installation by designer, Maria Limon. This beauty served as a backdrop for the ceremony and made a bold statement against the ruined palace. She mixed colored gypsophila alongside hand-dyed ostrich feathers for a rather dreamy feel!

The team created an explosion of color + texture amid the ruins of the palace via a low-level sweetheart table for the newlyweds.

An eclectic mix of antique brass, French glassware, and hand-dyed textiles by Butterfly Linens juxtaposed perfectly with contemporary cutlery. And the handmade candles from Danish brand, Ester & Erik, created that atmospheric lighting necessary for an intimate setting.

The hand-painted cake by Avant-Garde Cake Studio was finished with peacock feathers and we are forever in love with that idea.
