We’re all about bringing on soft, springtime vibes, but we know there are readers out there who like living on the edge! Just this once, let’s swap the pastels for jewel tones and get a little unconventional. Plus we know there are now lots of couples that moved their spring weddings to late fall or winter, so we thought this was some great inspo for those couples now planning a wedding later in the season….
Today’s editorial comes to us from Iron + Honey Photography and Lionhearted Events. Here they share a bit of their vision: My idea for this shoot was to do something a little non-traditional and edgy with more muted colors and lots of texture. We found Salonlb. online and fell in love with the worn paint, wall-to-wall windows, and all-around abandoned warehouse vibes. Located in Bridgeport, it’s actually the historic Spiegel catalog warehouse.
Warehouse + industrial wedding venues are still so trendy, so we’re very excited to explore this edgy inspiration shot by Iron + Honey Photography.
Dark Stationery
We kick things off with Pretty Script absolutely nailing this edgy meets elegant vibe! We love the stationery details + black wax seals for texture and dimension.
Jewel Tones in the Warehouse
This gown from Honey Bridal has a fun, deep neckline – we just love the bodice.
Lush jewel tones by Studio Poppy seriously steal the show here! The textural range with pampas, protea and even dyed fronds give these edgy arrangements real life.
Edgy Bride + Groom
Can we take a moment to appreciate this motorcycle!? So fun.
Gem-Colored Florals
A little tabletop love here from the team at Tablescapes. It’s so fun to see the edgy details pop with the jewel tones + feminine dinnerware.
In addition to the paper goods, Pretty Script calligraphed this custom moto jacket…and you won’t believe where it’s traveled to #thejustmarriedjacketCHI! We can never get enough of this edgy, bridal look!
Your own custom moto jacket is easier than you think! Check out this fun DIY.
Outfit Change
Would you do a little outfit change for your wedding? We love this jewel-colored, maroon dress paired with the warehouse setting!
