Ready for some subtle (and very glamorous) nods to the ’70s? The inspiration for today’s editorial shoot was pulled directly from a couple of mid-century love stories.
The team with Colette Marie Photography and Ash Best Events notes this styling as a standout: This wedding inspiration stands out from any other by the way we blended different design elements from mid-century, the 70s, and today; all as a nod to our old souls both of our sets of parents, who found love in the ’60s + ’70s. This wedding is filled with fun, color, and a lot of personality!
We love when couples pull inspiration from their own experiences + cultures. It’s especially rad when the bride rocks two different wedding-day looks, and there’s more juicy pops of floral that we can even handle!
Colette Marie Photography caught all the coolest moments from this stylish celebration at Chicago’s City Hall (but it’s not the city hall you were thinking!):
You’re Warmly Invited
The creativity from Maison Blanche Lettering is always wonderfully whimsical. We particularly love the warm colors chosen for this invitation suite. And that graphic of the venue is rad!
Mid-century Match Made in Heaven
Crescent Ceremony Setup with Juicy Red Floral
Okay, Florist & Hound Design, we see you! This bold floor crescent is just incredible. Would you rock this color palette in your wedding? The warm red, pink + juicy orange flowers blend so well together!
Those sleeves! That veil! 😻
Sweet + 70s
What an adorable ‘we do’ moment!
Poppin’ bubbly! But can we just reiterate how amazing these florals are? Bridal bouquet dreams right there.
Red Dust Woman
Wow – we’re obsessed with these mid-century vibes in both the bride’s Sophie et Voila dresses.
More + more ’70s inspiration with this rad hair + makeup by Gold Dust Woman.
Satin Jumpsuit + 70s Vibes
The second bridal look is a sexy ’70s inspired silk jumpsuit + we’re living for it! Belle Bridal Atelier provided these gorg gowns + accessories.
Classic mid-century game, right?!
Glamorous Setting
Major mid-century designs here with the linens + rentals from Lola Valentina Design + Nimble Well. Pulling in the blue is such a 70s throwback, not to mention the thoughtful, glam place settings.
Besides the gorgeous calligraphy, isn’t this menu format cool?
Classic B+W
If this editorial doesn’t make you want to rock more statement sleeves, then we don’t know what will.
If mid-century vibes are calling you, feel free to answer with this editorial with millennial pink floral!
