Here comes the Drama!! We’re talking bold red florals and black wedding rentals all blended together in a tropical wonderland! When Tina + Chris began planning their wedding in Cabo, they knew they wanted something that would stand out, but still be classy and elegant. With the help of the design team at Amy Abbott Events, they transformed Acre Baja into a luxe dream!
T shared with about her vision for the day:
I wanted a modern, yet romantic theme by incorporating black and gold accents with red florals and geometric shapes. I wanted to do something most brides wouldn’t choose and that would be different yet elegant. Looking back we wouldn’t change a thing- it was literal perfection! We absolutely loved everything about our wedding and couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out.
Jihan Cerda captured every stunning detail. Scroll along and let’s take a look!
Elegant Touches
This invitation blends luxe and tropical styles perfectly! T knew she wanted to mix gold accents, agate, and Mexican flair and this suite does just that! If you’re looking to shop wedding invitations, be sure to check out The Most Beautiful Wedding Invitations You Can Buy Online!

Welcome bags are a destination wedding must-have! They show gratitude to your guests for making the trip while giving them a taste of the local culture and fun they can expect during the wedding weekend.
The Stage is Set
Remember what we said about dramatic and unique?? How cool is the effect that these striking black and gold chairs make in a circular seating pattern? You can easily switch up the look of your ceremony by doing something similar!
T + C were all about the red florals for their wedding in Cabo! We’ve got to say- we’re loving the combo of classic red roses and boho pampas grass!
C and his dudes looking ready for the party. C donned Bonobos attire for the big day.
Ladies in black! T’s girls rocked little black dresses from Reformation and they look stunning! If you love the idea of black bridesmaids dresses, shop some of our favorites below:

Cocktails by the Pool
Who wouldn’t want to sip cocktails by this pool?! Such a classy setting!
T + C had the cutest neon sign photo backdrop! We love a good neon sign, in fact, we did a whole editorial on them! See how you can incorporate them into your wedding decor and where you can buy them!
Newlywed Shots
I was ready to throw up because I hate all the attention on me. But the second I saw Chris, before he even turned around, just knowing he was there made all of my fears and worries go away and I immediately felt calm and ready.
Chris and I took a few minutes during reception to stand back and watch everyone laughing and eating good food and just genuinely happy, and we both said to ourselves “wow we are so lucky to have all of our favorite people here in one our of favorite places”.
Doesn’t T look like a total vision in this sleek, form-fitting gown? She paired this elegant dress with the perfect Valentino shoes.
Red symbolizes romance, and Pina Cate’s floral designs exude love and glamour! This bouquet features some of our favorite blooms like garden roses, dahlias, tulips, ranunculus and scabiosa.
Romantic Reception
A sweetheart table fit for royalty!
Luxurious family-style dining at its finest! T had the most amazing vision for the reception tables. She shares:
The most important things that I wanted at our table were the Black Chairs and the Stones for all of the guests to find their seats. The rest I left up to Payis & Rental Team 🙂 They did a great job of showing me different options to put the table of my dreams together.
How about these gold and black tablescape details?! We love the modern plates and flatware T chose for the guests. So elegant!
Candles, candles and more candles!!
T + C chose to incorporate candle clusters and low floral arrangements to create a lush and full look to the tables. This type of setup really invites conversation which is what T + C said was most important for them when planning their destination wedding in Cabo- they wanted their family and friends to really enjoy themselves.
Such a cool cake, right?? We’re seeing more and more couples opt for smaller cutting cakes with unique features.
Congratulations Tina + Chris! We loved getting to see all of the glam moments from your wedding in Cabo! The GWS team is wishing you the very best!
