Missing dinner parties? So are we. There will come a time when we organize and host a cute dinner party for friends. But until that time comes, let’s have fun brainstorming + making plans!
Jaime of Wild Heart Events was inspired by the Wes Anderson film Moonrise Kingdom, to create a laid-back, outdoorsy, dinner + a movie night at the Trailer Pond. The venue is a private and relaxing vintage trailer camp spot on a 130-acre, organically farmed vineyard in Paso Robles, California. It’s a summer camp-style picnic for adults, with a colorful, lush spread of snacks and rad retro campers!
Anna Delores Photography got to capture all the sweet, summery inspiration:
The Trailer Pond
How fun are these retro campers?
Looking For Love
Looking for love? Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom is a whimsical coming-of-age film about an orphan boy who escapes from a scouting camp to unite with his pen pal + love interest.
This red-orange summer dress from Ruby Rose reminds us to plump up our warm-weather wardrobe!

Summer Dinner Party Vibes
All the bright + airy colors we love!
Knife + Fork Chef Services curated a beautiful menu befitting the warm atmosphere, including a pre-dinner picnic complete with charcuterie + cheese board. Harvest veggies with local snapper was served as the main course, with a pear and apple crostata topped with spiced whipped cream for dessert. Whoa, we’re hungry!
Playful Colorful Spread
Look how colorful this table is. We love the bandana-like dinner napkins with subtle nods to summer camp. Pass that gorgeous beet salad!
Golden Hour
Colorful glassware and details from Avenue Twelve keep things playful for this summer party.
Every post-quarantine charcuterie board should look like this! We cannot wait for our next summer dinner party. The tablecloth from La Tavola Fine Linen is the epitome of sunny get-togethers.
A crisp white from Alta Colina perfectly turns this summer camp into *adult* summer camp!
These bright summer flowers put together by Ildewild Floral are perfect for a ‘lil dinner party – not to mention that rad floral hat! Love it.
Dinner followed by an alfresco movie night featuring (what else?) Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom, projected on the side of one of the vintage trailers. Pass the popcorn – we’re planning this night with our pals very soon!
