Sometimes you come across the most epic + beautiful mountaintop wedding and it’s just destiny. Wildly in love and ever so adventurous, Lyndsie + Jordan just happened to find inspiration for their dream wedding right here on GWS when Lyndsie came across a couple getting married at the Sea To Sky Gondola in Squamish, BC. From the venue to the photographers to the videographers — it was all there. The only thing left was to bring their own unique spin to the day:
Making our day feel like “us” was super important to Jord and I. We were constantly thinking of little ways to do that. Things like: gifting my bridesmaids handkerchiefs from my grandmother who couldn’t be there with us, wearing my grandmother’s wedding ring, having a friend playing our ceremony music, another friend DJ, Jordan’s dad officiating, my dad and I recording a special song to us for our father/daughter dance and so much more. Our people have made us who we are today and that needed to be showcased on our big day. Also, having a destination wedding was a no-brainer. We love traveling and wanted a long weekend with our favorite people.
Before we go any farther, you have to watch this video by Hello Tomorrow Films! It is SO sweet and the first look just needs to be seen in real-time!
And now for a look at the day through the lens of Shari + Mike!
Are you ready for what’s next? It’s REALLY good…
THE. BEST.
Our first look. 100%. I had been dying to see him all morning and to finally see him and read our personal vows to each other before we ever saw anyone else, was SO special to us. His reaction was PRICELESS too and so sweet! It all happening on top of a mountain wasn’t too bad either.
Vows with a View
L + J read their vows, just the two of them, before the big ceremony.
Lace + Long-Sleeves
We love to hear the story behind the dress! Here’s Lyndsie’s:
Oh goodness, it was the best experience! Truly. It was just me, my mom, my aunt, my future MIL, and my best friend at LVD Bridal. No one else was in the store but us. It was so much fun. My best friend brought champagne, we took lots of fun photos and I only tried on 6 dresses. One was sequined and had stars all over it. It was AMAZING. However, I went with was the second dress and it was PERFECT. It was a good mix of sexy and classic. I ended up trying on an ostrich feather jacket at the end and couldn’t walk out of the store without it. I needed a little “Lyndsie edge” in my look and this definitely gave it that.

Down in the Valley
If you want epic wedding photos, mountains are a must.
It just gets more beautiful!
Remember it is all about you and your future hubby. Your wedding will be AMAZING and one of the most precious days of your lifetime. However, the marriage is even better. So, remember that when you get caught in the details. You are about to marry your best friend and that’s the best feeling in the world. Do everything you can leading up to the big day but when you are about to go to sleep the night before, let everything go. Things will go wrong, it’s just life but in the grand scheme of things they don’t matter. Most likely it’ll become a funny story to tell down the road. Take it all in, ladies. This is going to be SUCH an amazing day.
The Mountaintown Reception
After the dreamy mountaintop wedding ceremony and the most rad photo session, everyone made their way down to Locavore Bar and Grill for the reception.
Lyndsie + Jordan sliced into their cake from Butterlane Bake Shop before the night was over!
LOVE! Congrats to the happy couple on your beautiful day!
