These gorgeous images came my way via photographer Osman Marfo-Gyasi of Wolf & Co., who I’ve had the pleasure of becoming acquainted with online in recent months.
There are so many reasons I adore these images – aside from the fact they are pure and authentic (models Miniver and Daniel are a real couple, who really renewed their vows during this shoot), they also celebrate some of the incredible talent we boast here in the UK wedding sector. After months of endless campaigning to support the wedding industry, forgive me for feeling a touch emotional about that today.

Osman worked with an incredibly talented team of wedding suppliers to bring this beautiful vision of modern, contemporary wedding day style to life and I just adore the detail, care and thought that has gone into this shoot.
This editorial features the work of two of my favourite designers also; Mia Sylvia, whose beautiful, naturally dyed and ethically repurposed gowns we introduced to you here, and Rita Colson, whose gorgeous contemporary bridalwear we introduced to you here.
I adore how the work of both these creative talents works together so beautifully. From the ceremony shots using Mia’s sublime draped fabrics to those These images are delicious, from the ….. to the sensuous, jazzy vibes depicted in the evening scenes, I just adore.
Words below are from Osman. Enjoy! And pin to your heart’s content.
“This styled shoot was born from the lack of representation of black vendors in styled wedding and bridal shoots and set out to highlight the high level of skill and service that black vendors offer to the wedding industry.”
“The shoot is also aimed at the new world order the wedding industry finds itself post COVID-19 lockdown as intimate and small weddings are becoming an ever-popular way for people to tie the knot.”
“Authenticity is key and so our couple Miniver & Daniel took the opportunity to renew their wedding vows almost 4 years into their marriage.”
Autumnal colours featured throughout as theme of this relaxed ceremony sustainable linen from Mia Sylvia, Zesty earthy stationary by Chloe Ainsley and floral design by Jennifer Debrah.”
“The venue Clapton Country club stood as a great backdrop with its dark lit sultry atmosphere to contrast to the contemporary dresses by Rita Colson and suit by Anthony London.”
