Yes, #whiteclawwedding is a thing, and honestly? It’s kinda rad. We’ve always been fans of YOU DOING YOU and if your thing is drinking White Claw then why not have some cheeky fun with it?! Stephanie at Velvet Armoire Floral + Event Design shared how the idea started out as a joke until suddenly, it was a real-life thing:
The concept of a White Claw wedding first started out as a joke between my husband and I due to our love for hard seltzer, Billy Idol, and uh…weddings! Six months of brainstorming (thanks quarantine) + the most killer vendor team of all and poof — a White Claw wedding was born! And let me tell you, it was epic. The details that went into this day were so intentional, from the bride’s “claw” necklace, tattoos, and even a pair of White Claw wedding boots. When it came to design + styling this scene, it was no easy feat! Dragging a clawfoot tub into the Paint Mines was just one of the many crazy things we did to make this dream come to life.
Sunnie Heers tagged along to photograph the day. Crack one open — let’s do this!
The day begins with a rad White Claw wedding invitation suite by Peach Wolfe Paper Co!
Bridal Style
She’s rockin’ a Tara La Tour polka dot gown from a&be bridal shop and a laid back look by Wedlocks. And how cool is that ombré veil by Wayfarer Bride!
A little cake + Claw! Cak the Bakery made a cute geode cake for the day.
A White Claw Wedding Ceremony
The real-life ride or die couple, Grace + Zach, shot-gunned their White Claws at the altar so you know they’re our kind of people.
Loving the peachy tones from the bouquet and florals by Velvet Armoire Floral + Event Design!
Rockin’ Reception
For the couple’s table, Hazel Grove Rentals brought in a cool modern table + macramé chairs.
The White Claw-Foot Tub
How hilariously brilliant is this?! So on theme. Stephanie offered a little glimpse into the realities of a giant bathtub out in the open:
Although shlepping a bunch of decor into the rocky Paint Mines was a bit of a struggle, it truly was an amazing setting for this fun, laid back vibe. With its insane rock formations, neutral colors, and desert-like aesthetic, it provided the perfect blank canvas for us to set the stage. I can’t even count the number of times we got stopped by people hiking, asking us what the heck we were doing with the tub!
Actual thirst trap.
“The Claw is the Law” Yeah, Denim & Bone nailed this one.
Throw back another with this COOL video recap by Caleb Clayton Film + Photo!
So fun right?! Loving all the rad detail from this day!
