If there ever was a Byron Bay wedding that was NOT pure perfection, we’d love to see it. The magical, boho surf town churns out some of the dreamiest weddings (and also a few Hemsworths but that’s beside the point). For Dee + Dan’s wedding, they opted for the glam side of boho and, yes, it is perfection with all its pink pampas grass! Give us ALL the ethereal, romantic, elegant details. With design by The Wedding Shed, D + D said their vows at Byron View Farm alongside friends and family (pre-COVID). Here’s what Dee shared about their inspiration:
We actually wanted to focus more on making the day about celebrating family, especially our two families coming together. Our inspiration for the day was to make it a huge celebration where everyone just had a great time. This meant that good music, alcohol, and a beautiful location were really important to us.

The ladies looked almost celestial in wrap dresses from Bec & Bridge and pearl headbands by Lady of Leisure Millinery!
Dee’s Boho Glam Bridal Look
Isn’t her dress an ethereal dream?! Dee paired it with starry Jennifer Behr earrings and shared the story behind the gown:
It was the first dress I took a screenshot of after Dan proposed to me! I never thought I would be able to find it, let alone wear it on my wedding day but I absolutely fell in love with it. Out of luck a few months later there was a Berta Trunk Show in Melbourne so my Mum and Sister flew with me there to try it on. It was the first dress I tried on and we all knew straight away that it was the one!

Dan and his groomsmen suited up for a traditional look (with a casual open top button!) in MJ Bale suits and shoes from Florsheim.

We just love all the signage and details that Paperlust created for D + D! Pairs SO GOOD with the boho florals by Bower Botanicals.
Orchids, roses, and dried palms are certainly favorites, but it’s that pink pampas grass we just adore!

Byron Bay Wedding Party

Probably when we took some alone time together, after the ceremony and before the reception to just take in everything that had just happened and that was happening around us. It was so nice to look at the marquee together with all the beautiful flowers by Bower Botanicals and then look out and see our family and friends having a great time.

Take your time! There were moments where we both felt stressed during the planning phase and then we realised, why? So we decided to take our time to plan, only include things that were important to us and that we loved. It really helped to make the whole experience enjoyable. Also, we would 100% recommend a videographer!
