Dried Palms + Brown Wooden Elements for This Mexican Micro Wedding

Planning

Mexico Micro Wedding

OOOOO this wedding, you guys! Where do we even begin?? We’ve loved getting to see how our couples were able to change up their plans from big bash to micro wedding and this one is no different. When Covid came around and Lindsay + Pedro knew their large Mexican wedding day would have to look a little different, they embraced it and created some MAG-IC! Nicoella Events, with a team of all Mexico-based vendors, helped the couple execute a day that honored Mexican landscapes and tradition while incorporating modern and masculine details.

We wanted to host a huge wedding with all of our family and friends. But when that didn’t seem possible with COVID, we switched gears and decided to focus on an intimate wedding with our closest family and friends in a place close to our hearts, San Miguel de Allende. The ceremony was just the two of us at our friend’s stunning new house, Casa Eterea. It was very sweet. Then we joined friends for dinner cooked by our friend, Donnie of the Restaurant. He even sat down with us to eat. Pedro, being a DJ from Mexico City, made all of the playlists for the night which was special because we met when he was DJing.

Come with us and let’s take a peek through the lens of Eager Hearts Photography!

L + P asked two of their closest friends to host their wedding festivities. The first home, a modern and mirrored wonder, reflected the raw and rugged landscape of Mexico so beautifully.

To complement the setting, Floweriize mixed dried and fresh blooms to create organic flower arrangements that seemed to grow up right there from the land.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

The whole day was magical and intimate, so different that what I had imagined as most weddings in Mexico are really large. We got to focus on each other. Sharing our vows with the reflection of us and the surrounding nature at Casa Eterea was incredible.

L donned a gorgeously sleek silk gown from Va de Blanco for the ceremony. The perfect contrast to the dramatic backdrop and her glam makeup look.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

COVID doesn’t mean that celebrations as we know it is over. We actually really appreciated the intimate nature of our wedding. It was special and focused. And we know when the pandemic is over that we can have a huge party if we want to.
