Guys these colors!! Fresh and modern lilac and blush wedding hues never looked better. For Madi + Jordan, their wedding day at Greengate Ranch & Vineyard was all about honoring their friends and family. Lovelyfest Events helped them plan a stunning event that featured tons of colorful hydrangeas that honored the bride’s heritage, disco balls, iridescent table decorations, sparkling fairylights and a custom cake cone dessert wall. M shares more:
Our wedding day was such a testament for our love of family and friends, relationships we truly value. We wanted to make sure everyone had a good time and that the flow of the day allowed us to visit with everyone. The look was modern Summer elegance with a touch of disco. My family is from Portugal’s Azores islands which is most known for its miles of pillowy, colorful hydrangeas. We wanted to have those be a focal point but included modern touches of neon and disco to compliment.
Jenna Routh Photography captured the most beautiful images. Let’s take a look!

Bridesmaids in Shades of Purple
Who couldn’t love this lineup of mismatched bridesmaids dresses in purple, mauve, lavender and lilac. You know we’re fans of the mismatched look, and if you are too, be sure to check out our tips on how to nail it! M and her girls looked stunning thanks to The Queen’s Bees hair and makeup!
A huge focal point of this wedding day were the modern flower designs by Idlewild Floral. We love it when the flowers have special meaning. They made classic hydrangeas fresh by using vibrant colors in a nod to M’s family’s home in Portugal.
The Gentlemen
J looked oh so handsome in attire from The Black Tux. That smile says it all!
A Magical Ceremony Setting
Umm… these flowers you guys! We can’t even handle it!
M + J went for an ombre effect for their modern white ceremony arch.
The ceremony was extremely special. We were blessed to have around 400 (!) of our closest family and friends come in from all over the country to support us. My Uncle, who knows the two of us individually and as a couple, performed the ceremony. We wanted it to be informal yet heartfelt and we felt like he balanced that perfectly. Seeing Jordan get emotional when my bridesmaids walked down the aisle all the way through to when we were announced and made our way back up the aisle was something I also won’t ever forget.
They did it!
So we had to know more about this dress, so we got M to share all the details:
I wore two dresses on my wedding day! I wore a gorgeous A-line Mira Zwillinger gown to wear to the ceremony through dinner festivities. Then a quick outfit change to an above the knee, lace dress I found on Net-a-Porter with some Dior slingback heels for dancing. I was living in Dallas at the time and had made maybe three appointments at most but only made it to my first one! My Dad and my sisters had flown out from California to help me hopefully find my dress. It was so special to have my Dad included in that part of the process. It took a few times to narrow it down but the leaf embroidery details on my veil that coordinated with my dress sealed the deal. I felt very bridal but very much myself at the same time.
Find a photographer that best suits your style! So, no matter if your plans have changed or if the details look a little different than you first imagined, you still have photos that capture the true feeling of a day worth documenting. Our photographer, Jenna, is amazing and was able to capture the day exactly how I remembered it; couldn’t narrow down any true favorites. Super grateful to have those memories.
Iridescent Meets Blush Wedding Decor
M + J’s wedding had so many cool, custom rental setups. Check out this amazing cocktail stand! Looks delicious, doesn’t it??
Giving us all the unicorn vibes!!
M + J dined with their guests under arches draped with fairylights. Tables were an eclectic but sleek combination of pink velvet and clear acrylic and florals were high and low sculptural pieces.
There were a whole bunch of rental vendors that were called in to pull this wedding look off! All About Events provided tabletop decor, Theoni Collection provided specialty rentals, and Bella Vista Designs nailed the lighting.
La Tavola Fine Rentals and Blush Fine Linens brought in some seriously beautiful fabrics!
Other rentals came from Scout Rental Company, Got You Cover’d Rentals, and Major Event Trailers.
Give us ALL the disco balls!
Processional: Otherside – Beyonce
Recessional: Before I Let Go – Beyonce
First Dance: So High – John legend
M + J had some rad furniture setups for their reception space. We love this eclectic lounge from Avenue Twelve Rentals.
To top off the evening, guests enjoyed this four tier confection by Paper Cake Events!
Stylish and sparkling, this lilac and blush wedding day is one for the books! Congratulations Madi + Jordan! The GWS Team is wishing you both all the best that married life can offer!
