There’s something so utterly romantic about a fresh blanket of snowfall. And even though hiking around wearing a wedding dress in freezing temperatures isn’t for the faint of heart, it holds a certain magic for the romantic at heart. Morgan + Luke opted for the adventurous route and (along with Morgan’s mother) planned a snowy winter elopement in Wyoming in the midst of their own quiet Narnia.
As for making the day personal and unique to them, Morgan shared their beautifully simple guiding light: We just did what we love to do together—be outside, hike and explore, and spend time with those closest to us.
Let’s have a look at the truly enchanting photos of the day captured by Amber at Adventure Instead!
Let it Snow
Cue the snowy twirls!
Morgan carried a beautiful winter bouquet with a king protea surrounded by blue thistle, and anemones by Lily and Co..
Winter Wedding Style
What do you wear when you get married in the snow? Morgan chose a long-sleeve Sarah Seven dress — and plenty of cute layers! And we love how Luke opted for color, pattern, and some rad accessories with that bolo tie and hat.
PS: We’ve got a helpful list of more snowy-bridal wares if you’re planning a cold-weather wedding!
Isn’t it just marvelous?!
Hiking in a Winter Wonderland
Morgan + Luke took a hike together for some private moments before catching up with loved ones for a small ceremony.
I’ve got your love to keep me warm…
Our hike together was below freezing temperatures. When we got to the top there was no one there and it was like a wild Narnia for just the two of us.
Make it about the both of you and do not try to fit into the mold of others or your family’s wants. Plan for a dream day for the two of you. A day that would make you both look back and say, “That was the most perfect day.”
Those VIEWS! How dreamy is this?
Sweet + Snowy Elopement Ceremony
Such joy! (And aesthetically speaking, these pops of red are PERFECTION.)
It just doesn’t get much more magical than this—a winter elopement in Wyoming is certainly for lovers. Congrats to Morgan + Luke from all of us at Green Wedding Shoes!
