How do you make a small wedding stand out? First, it’s all about location. This modern minimalist wedding inspiration took place at the Jupiter Hotel in Portland, a boutique hotel that’s all about modern luxury. Hotels with unique decor and architecture are quickly becoming top picks for micro wedding venues (take this example, for instance). Because, aside from being equipped for small gatherings, it’s easy to take advantage of well-designed spaces for a day that’s small, striking, and meaningful.
After that, bringing in thoughtful flowers is where the magic happens! Wildflower Portland‘s choice of design elevated the space with an organic, almost whimsical floral installation that marked the modern theme with a unique take.
Finally, complementary design elements matter. With design by Kamea Events, the details of this day came together in beautiful harmony! Let’s take a look at the photos captured by Ashley Cook Photography:
The custom calligraphy by Everglow Hand Made created the perfect marriage of minimalism + romance.
Organic Florals for a Modern Minimalist Wedding
Isn’t it just a stunning centerpiece? We got the details from Wildflower Portland: The shape of the featured installation against the cement wall took on an organic form. Naturally gravitating towards earth tones, the incorporation of dried goods and fresh white to almost black botanicals happened organically.
The floral elements were both deep and warming to the cool industrial space. They included: pampas grass, dried hellebore, white bachelor buttons, scabiosa pods, sun-bleached maidenhair fern, toffee roses, and other dried elements from the designer’s private collection.
Natural Bridal Beauty
The bride wore a gown from a&bé Bridal Shop with a cape-like train that created such pretty movement!
Love this sculptural + organic design for a bouquet!
Ceremony Backdrop-Turned-Sweetheart Table
Post-ceremony, the floral installation was easily repurposed for a sweetheart table backdrop and photo wall.
Such a pretty, modern setting!
These specialty taper candles by Kamea Events were especially perfect to complement to the florals.
And the two-tier wedding cake by Dream Cakes—simple and gorgeous!

You never know what kind of beauty you can create. And thanks to the talented team behind this day, point proven.
