When you dream about an outdoor wedding in Italy, don’t you envision rolling hillside views, gorgeous architecture and family-style dinner under the stars?? Well that’s exactly what this Tuscan wedding at Villa Vignalunga is bringing us today! With the help of venue owner, Gaia, Corinna (known as Coco) and Dominik (known as Dodo) treated their guests to a beautiful micro wedding in the Italian countryside. They were inspired by a late Summer color palette of amber + rust, and the bride even made her own invitations and wedding signage! We’ll let C tell you more:
It was particularly important to us to celebrate this day with our closest friends and family. The focus shouldn’t be so much on us. It should rather be a common celebration, where we also show our guests how much they mean to us! That’s why we decided to hand over an individual love letter with very personal words to each of our guests, during the wedding ceremony. For the design, we opted for natural, earthy tones in combination with rust-red accents. We wanted a modern, boho-inspired look with loads of pampas grass, carpets and natural materials. Modern, relaxed vibes with a special touch.

DIY Wedding Invitations
Can you believe C designed, printed and detailed these wedding invitations all be herself?? Even down to hand-tearing the edges, she was dedicated to the details. We love the little tassels accents she added from Nature Beads.
A Modern Bride
This sleek and billowy Alexandra Grecco gown wasn’t anything that C expected for herself, but after finding it at All the Feels boutique, she couldn’t dream of anything else! She paired the perfect dainty Purelei necklace stack with it and became a stunning modern, boho bride!
First I was looking for a completely different style for a long time until I realized that it just wasn’t me. Now I am so happy that I changed course again and found my simple yet modern dress that just suits me 100%.
D sported the perfect Summer wedding attire with a light, neutral Suit Supply suit and Velasca shoes.
An Outdoor Wedding in Italy
Luca Cozza created some gorgeous floral designs that featured pampas grass and other neutral, dried florals. They paired perfectly with the colorful vintage rugs that C + D had down the aisle.
The moment when all of our guests read their letters and absolutely everyone was crying. It was such a wonderful moment where we all were connected and not a single eye remained dry. There was so much love in the air!

Due to Corona, we obviously had more stress than we originally thought. In the last few weeks before the wedding in particular. Some guests canceled because they couldn’t leave Germany without having a problem returning to work after the weekend. So we ended up celebrating with only 33 instead of 50 guests. Which didn’t make our wedding less beautiful. On the other side, it was such a nice, intimate group and the atmosphere was great. At that time there were no restrictions on private parties in Italy. So we were allowed to celebrate ‘normal’, which made us very happy. The waiters had to wear a mask.
C made these gorgeous wood + linen fabric signs with the help of her sister and made of honor. We are in LOVE.

Planning a wedding in times of Covid19 is not easy. Be prepared for the fact that you possibly get cancellations days before your wedding. Don’t let that mess up your mood. Stay focused on the guests who join and celebrate with you. And I can tell you – it will be awesome!
