Paris Hilton wore four stunning, custom-made wedding dresses for her big day, proving the princess wedding is well and truly back.
After nearly two years of restrictions changing the way weddings look and feel, new laid-back bridal trends taking hold and the rise of the micro-wedding, Paris Hilton’s wedding has proved there’s still a place for the full-blown princess approach, complete with ball-gown dresses, lavish ceremonies and celebrity guest-lists.
A true incarnation of the ‘fairytale wedding’ Paris and her now-husband, Carter Milliken Reum, tied the knot on 11th November 2021 at a Bel-Air estate formerly belonging to Paris’ grandfather Barron Hilton. Proving she’s left the Simple Life far behind her, Paris opted for four wedding dresses on her special day.
For the ceremony, Paris wore a custom-made Oscar de la Renta gown. The dress was high-necked and long-sleeved with beautiful lace detailing and pressed flowers over the bodice and accenting the tulle skirt. Keeping her accessories and hair simple, Paris completed this look with a tulle veil, diamond earrings and a bridal up-do.
Speaking to Vogue, Paris revealed “[she] spent months designing my dress to perfection with the amazing Oscar de la Renta designers, Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim.”
“I love how it turned out,” she continued. “I wanted something that was timeless, elegant, chic, and iconic, and I am so happy.”
For the couple’s first dance, Paris then changed into a custom Galia Lahav tulle princess gown, with a corseted top and bardot sleeves. The bride paired this look with a tiara and a diamond necklace. As the party got going, socialite and DJ Paris, switched into a shorter wedding dress for the reception.
Another Oscar de la Renta number, this third look paid homage to the floral elements of Paris’ ceremony dress with 3D floral embroidery along the shoulders, leading into a bustier top and a short, A-line skirt.
For the final bridal look of the day, Paris opted for another custom gown – this time by designer Pamella Roland – with sequin and pearl embroidery and a sheer embellished cape.
Known for her penchant for pink, Paris dressed her bridesmaids in soft pink, V-neck lace Alice + Olivia gowns, while the Maid-of-Honour – Paris’ sister, Nicky Hilton Rothschild – wore a long-sleeved dress with satin ruffles, by the same designer in a slightly different shade of pink.
