I very much wanted to keep a special wedding aside to share as our final wedding of 2022, and Izzy and Joe’s laid back and romantic summer wedding it is.
The couple, who were joined by their sweet baby daughter, tied the knot on 23rd July at Scarlet Hall in Cheshire and planned a relaxed day with a party vibe for their guests to enjoy, all with the support of professional wedding planner, Stacey at Navy Tux Events. The bride wore a Galvan London wedding dress and her groom wore white.
These deliciously dreamy images were captured by Love My Dress favourites and recommended wedding photographers and wedding film makers, Bethany & James. I adore these photographs for their soft, romantic energy and hope that you appreciate and are inspired by them too. You can find more beautiful wedding photography by this real life couple and creative duo here on Love My Dress.
We’ll see you in 2023 folks!
Parr Green Hall Wedding Venue
Our venue was chosen because it is Joe’s uncle’s house. Scarlet Hall is a luxury, country house holiday home and can be used as a wedding venue as they have a dedicated wedding barn and have space for 22 guests to stay on site.
We also hired The Canvas Tent Co and had guests staying in enchanting bell tents tipis.
A Galvan London Wedding Dress
I wore a Galvan dress. I used the Harvey Nichols private shopping option for my dress, as they were one of the few suppliers of Galvan Bridal dresses and I knew I loved all their dresses. It’s free to use their private shopping services and I highly recommend them.
Mary-Ellen helped me find my shoes to match and introduced me to Emily London who created a bespoke veil to go with my grandmothers wax headpiece which she had worn on her wedding day in the 1950’s.
Veil & Accessories
I loved my Emily London bespoke veil and grandmother’s headpiece the best. It was so nice to wear something so meaningful to family but get to match it with something fun and modern. The veil had sparkles of gold in it to match my gold Jimmy Choo heels.
I also wore my mother’s pearl bracelet from her wedding and borrowed a pair of her pearl earrings. My perfume was my fave scent, Tom Ford’s Jasmin Rouge.
The Groom
Joe wore a bespoke suit from Richard James. He also wore a Drakes silk yellow tie and and a Liberty print pocket square that I made myself.
Flowers
Our florist was White Wysteria. We wanted to use flowers that were in season and go for really bright colours. Chloe blew us away with her creation on the two central poles of our marquee. She was amazing and such a lovely person to work with – we both highly recommend her.
Joe’s parents are wholesale flower growers so they supplied thousands of flowers to line the drive up to the house and other key areas.
Ceremony
My dad accompanied me down the aisle to ‘Am I The Same Girl?’ By Barbara Acklin.
Our rings were by Clio Saskia. We used to work with her at the pub we met at. She hand makes all of her jewellery and she made our rings from the same piece of gold.
My sister read the Owl and the Pussycat by Edward Lear. This was our favourite book as children. And one of Joe’s best men made a reading on life advice by Homer Simpson as he loves the Simpsons.
My favourite moments were during the ceremony. I didn’t think it would be very significant before but it turned out to be the best part of the day.

Photography by Bethany & James
We absolutely loved Bethany & James‘ style – it is so distinct and different to lots of other photographers we looked at.
Bethany and James absolutely lived up to their expectations and we would definitely recommend them.
A Champagne Tower
One of my favourite things of the day was a champagne tower. We used pink champagne and this was for the first toast after the ceremony. It was a great photo opportunity and lots of fun!
How They Met
We met when Joe was a chef at a gastro pub and I got a job as a waitress there – I was the worst waitress ever.
We got engaged seven years later, in December 2020.
Words from Stacey at Navy Tux Events
Izzy and Joe really put a lot of thought into how they wanted their day to be, focusing on fun moments, good food, family and the inclusion of their daughter, Minnie throughout.
They wanted an outdoor ceremony featuring a bold floral arch followed by dinner in the marquee and dancing in the barn so we created three key spaces for guests to enjoy.
Unfortunately due to the rainy weather, we had to move the ceremony indoors at the very last minute but thankfully this had already been set up with the evening’s disco balls which added a bit of extra sparkle to the ceremony.
For the marquee, we originally started with a very clean white palette enhanced by bright flowers, but a few weeks before the wedding, Izzy and Joe decided that they wanted a bit more colour brought into the room.
We did this by adding deep blue table linen & glassware paired with pastel candles and brass candle holders.
The table plan, table names and placecards were all handwritten and painted by Izzy’s stepdad, Mark Crick.
For the evening, Izzy and Joe really wanted their guests to spend all night on the dance floor, so we kicked this off the Disco & Funk Soul vibes with Miami Sound Machine ‘Conga’ from the marquee to the party barn, led by Girls That Mix on bongo drums & sax. We added in late night pizzas from Dough Disciples as well as crates of artisan crisps throughout the bar for anyone feeling peckish!
We were able to create a day that felt incredibly emotional and personal to them and their family whilst also embracing their fun side, with some of the most beautiful moments between not only the bride and goom, but also grandmother, mother and daughter, on the morning of the wedding.
Words of Wedded Wisdom
Our nine month old daughter, Minnie, was also there and although it was hard work juggling being a mum and a bride on the same day, I’m grateful she was there with us.
If your budget allows, hire a wedding planner! They truly take the stress of the day away and are worth their weight in gold.
