Just Married! Below we take a closer look at some of the dreamy details from Sofia Richie’s Wedding, which included not one but three Chanel couture dresses.
Sofia Richie is married, and the Wedding Ideas team have been glued to their phones following the Richie-Grainge nuptials this weekend.
The 24-year-old tied the knot with music producer Elliot Grainge in the French Riviera and were obsessed. Held at the prestigious Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc and hosting guests from Cameron Diaz to Paris Hilton, this may just be our favourite wedding of the year.
The newly weds began dating in 2021 after reportedly being friends for years. One year later Grainge proposed during sunset on a bed of white petals at the Four Seasons Hualalai.
Upon arrival guests were given gifts which included a personalised beach bag, matching water bottle and a Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc towel serving as compliments to the backdrop of the Mediterranean.
We were spoiled with insider content from the bride to be, as she took to Instagram and TikTok to share the process behind her iconic style choices and makeup looks.
Sofia Richie’s Rehearsal Dinner Dress
Richie had three custom made Chanel dresses, all of which were designed in Chanel’s Paris atelier. The first was for the rehearsal dinner, which had a fun dress code of ‘cocktail attire’. Richie’s dress was high neck, sheer sleeved and adorned with intricate beading.
Sofia Richie’s Ceremony Dress
The ceremony dress took inspiration from Chanel’s AW 2023 collection. It boasted a crisscross neckline and was enamoured with pearls; as well as white, translucent, and iridescent sequins- with an exaggerated veil and train to add to the grandeur. According to Madame Olivia Douchez the premièr of Haute Couture Atelier, it was ‘very Chanel’.
Richie’s something blue was an embroidered ‘S & E’ positioned next to her chest, chosen for the inside of the dress to be close to her heart.
Sofia Richie’s After-Party Dress
Last but most definitely not least, the after-party dress. A short, structured number that was inspired by the dress worn by Claudia Schiffer on the runway in Spring 1993.
