A Contemporary & Ultra Stylish Bon Bride 2-Piece Dress, For A Thoroughly Modern London Party Wedding

Ideas

Scarlet and Joe exchanged vows on November 11, 2022, at Stoke Newington Town Hall, followed by a lively reception at TT Liquor in Shoreditch.

Their wedding was a true reflection of their vibrant personalities and unique style—filled with colour, exuberance, and an abundance of party vibes. Scarlet looked effortlessly chic, sophisticated and ultra stylish in a modern two-piece design by British designer Pippa Cooke of Bon Bride.

My love and thanks to lovely bride Scarlet for allowing us to share her ridiculously gorgeous wedding day photographs with you. The beautiful photography by Marta Ilardo captures the essence of this joyous occasion, and we’re thrilled to share these memorable moments with you. Be inspired my loves, and enjoy!

Bridal Beauty & Accessories

I wore a pair of diamante platforms heels from Office. I handmade my birdcage veil with fabric from MacCulloch & Wallis haberdashery.

My hair and makeup was by Facebar in Shoreditch.

Ceremony

Our ceremony took place at Stoke Newington Town Hall. It was an easy decision to hold the wedding in East London, as we are both from London. I grew up in Angel, Islington and I’d always wanted to get married close to the area.

My father walked me down the aisle, to the sound of Angels, by The XX.

Joe wore Paul Smith suit and Prada shoes. His vibrant dress style had to show in his suit! It needed something extra, something more than the regular grey or blue. The green suit was exuberant and felt right.

How They Met

We met eleven years ago on Christmas day on Phi Phi island in Thailand.

We were both backpacking at the time and Joe was living in Australia. It was a whirlwind; Joe met up with me in Sri Lanka and we travelled together for a month.

The Proposal

When Joe left to return to Australia, I knew it wouldn’t be the last time I saw him. We spoke every day for four months, until I met him at Heathrow airport after he’d been away from home for three years. We never looked back.

We have since embarked on many travels around the world, backpacking across south and central America, before settling down in South East London.

Joe proposed in Cornwall in July 2021. We decided to plan the wedding in March 2022 and set a date for November of the same year, with nine months to plan.

Reception

We had the idea to find a reception venue that was different and not your typical wedding venue. After just a few viewings we found TT liquor. The room was perfect!

Flowers were by Rebel Rebel and Vida Bakery provided a vegan pink and red iced two tier cake.

Evening, Dancing & Words of Wedded Wisdom

Our first dance was to David Bowie’s, Let’s Dance.

Advice; Don’t get wrapped up in the minor details. Everything will come together on the day and photo booths are a MUST!
