Oh, the thrill of Trader Joe’s aisles come autumn! As the leaves change and our sweaters emerge from the back of the closet, the aisles of Trader Joe’s magically transform into an autumnal wonderland of flavors and aromas. It’s as if the spirit of the season danced through the store, leaving hints of cinnamon, pumpkin, and maple in its wake.

We Tested Trader Joe’s Fall 2023 Items — Here are Our Favorites!
Fall Breakfast + Bakery Foods from Trader Joe’s
This has been a fave for a few years. What’s better than pumpkin bread (or muffins) paired with coffee on a fall Saturday morning?! I highly recommend this one – and the GF pumpkin bread option, as one of our editors recommended.
This pumpkin butter is a special treat to pair with the pumpkin bread or on toast during this time. Top your oatmeal, waffles, or even add to a smoothie!
3. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Bagels and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread
I’m typically not a bagel person but if you are a bagel person – or looking for a special treat – these were delicious paired with the Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cream Cheese spread. Kind of the perfect way to start your weekend….plus my kids love these as well!
4. Apple Cinnamon Buns
These Apple Cinnamon Buns are new for 2023 and were SO GOOD. Definitely a special treat as they are a but sweet, but were so yummy with my morning coffee. Heat them in your toaster oven for that just baked taste – and I bet they would be so good paired with some vanilla bean ice cream!
5. Mini Pumpkin Ginger Scones
These are new for 2023 and were SO SO good. I was a bit hesitant since I’m not normally a scone person – typically I find scones too hard, but these were perfect. More like a warm mini pumpkin muffin with hints of ginger. And the size is perfect for a tiny taste of a treat of fall with your afternoon coffee. Definitely recommend trying these this fall!
6. Pumpkin Overnight Oats
For a healthy breakfast, I really enjoyed these pumpkin overnight oats topped with pumpkin seeds and almonds. If you love pumpkin flavor and overnight oats, I think you would love these. A fun mix for the fall!
Trader Joe’s Fall 2023 Snacks
These pumpkin tortilla chips were surprisingly really good! I wasn’t sure since they have cinnamon and nutmeg on them – seemed a bit strange for a tortilla chip – but it works! Would definitely buy again!
This Fall Harvest Salsa is such a great salsa. I paired it with the Pumpkin Tortilla chips (which were surprisingly good) as well as with my favorite black bean chips. Definitely getting more of this salsa this fall.
I LOVE LOVE putting together charcuterie boards – esp in the fall + winter. I typically love the cranberry goat cheese that Trader’s Joe’s carries in Oct/Nov, but this Apricot Cherry Cranberry Goat Cheese is only available in the fall and SO GOOD! If you love cherries and cranberries, this cheese pairs amazingly with the Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps. I usually go for their Fig crisps, but had to try this seasonal fall flavor, Pumpkin Cranberry and this was a winner! This combo will be a staple on our cheeseboards this fall!
This pumpkin spread is so great to add to your charcuterie board! We used the Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps, topped with some goat cheese and then spread the pumpkin spread on top – SO YUM! Doesn’t really taste pumpkin-y to me, but does taste good! Definitely add this to your fall cheeseboards this year!
Favorite Trader Joe’s Fall Items for Dinner
11. Pumpkin Gnocchi
I was so excited about these but then got nervous that they would taste bland…boy was I glad I picked these up. They were SO GOOD you guys!! Easy to make and I served them with a sage brown butter sauce and some toasted walnuts (along with some grilled chicken). Made a perfect fall meal. The gnocchis are the perfect bites of pumpkin – not too sweet, but you can taste the pumpkin. Definitely buying more of these! Plus they are only $2.99!
12. Trader Joe’s Spicy Pumpkin Samosas
These are one of our favorite Trader Joe’s fall items we pick up each year. They have the perfect amount of spice (not too spicy, but a good spice!) and work great as a fun appetizer before dinner. If you like their chicken samosas, I think you’ll love these as well.
13. Butternut Squash Ravioli
This is one of my FAVORITE easy fall dinners (looking for more fall dinner ideas, we got you!). They were sold out last week (the woman I spoke with from my Trader Joe’s said they can’t keep these on the shelves – along with the Butternut Squash Mac + Cheese). I love making these with some brown butter sauce, a bit of sage, and parmesan – yum! Pair these with some grilled chicken for an easy fall dinner.
14. Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese
This one surprised me! I wasn’t planning to try it as I’m not a big mac + cheese person, but after finding out they were out of the Butternut Squash ravioli, one of the Trader Joe’s workers said I needed to try these. There was one box left when I looked for it, so I said why not?! And you guys, it was SO GOOD. And easy to make, just heat in the microwave (gotta love that)! I paired it with some grilled chicken and roasted green cauliflower for a yummy fall dinner. This is also probably one of their most popular fall items according to my local Trader Joe’s store.
15. Riced Cauliflower & Butternut Squash Risotto
We eat a lot of grilled chicken and I’m always looking for new veggies to pair with it. This riced cauliflower risotto was so easy to make and a delicious side to pair with grilled chicken (I think it would be great paired with flank steak as well!).
16. Butternut Squash Lasagna
This Butternut Squash lasagna makes such an easy fall dinner. Heat in the oven for 45 minutes and you have a perfect fall dinner for the two of you! If you love their butternut squash mac and cheese, I think you’ll love this as well. Egg pasta layered with a butternut squash bechamel sauce and Italian cheese topped with breadcrumbs & pumpkin seeds!! Chef’s Kiss.
17. Autumnal Harvest Pasta Sauce
This Autumnal Harvest Pasta Sauce is one of my faves. I wish it was sold all year! I love using it as a sauce with grilled chicken or pairing it with a cheese ravioli. Definitely recommend.
18. Spicy Pumpkin Curry
I love the Trader Joe’s Yellow curry sauce, so I was excited to try this one. I simmered it with some chicken and cauliflower and some farro. It had a perfect amount of zing as well! Not too spicy, but some great flavors. Definitely recommend it as well.
19. Pumpkin Alfredo Sauce
This sauce is great to spice up pasta – but not have that heavy feeling you often get from an alfredo sauce. I added some turkey sausage to the sauce and mixed it in with some pumpkin pasta. A perfect easy fall meal!

20. Pumpkin Pie Spiced Ginger Brew
I love a Moscow Mule and one of my fave tips to mix things up for fall, is to use this Pumpkin Pie Spiced Ginger Brew in the Mule. Enjoy! And if you need a copper mug, here is the copper mug set I own and love.
21. La Colombe Pumpkin Spice Draft Latte
So, technically this isn’t a Trader Joe’s product, but I found it at Trader Joe’s and haven’t seen it anywhere else yet, so I’m including it! 🙂 For me, pumpkin coffee drinks can really be a hit or miss, this one luckily was a big HIT. I’m a fan of their Oat Milk Lattes and this had the perfect amount of pumpkin flavor without being too sweet – I’m not a fan of super sweet coffee…definitely will be stocking up on these for fall afternoons when I need to tackle lots of emails!
22. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Ginger Ice Cream Cones
This is one of my favorite items every fall – they sell out fast, so you’ll need to go to the store early to find these!! If you haven’t tried them yet, this is my number one favorite Trader Joe’s product for fall. Definitely get these if you haven’t tried them! SO SO good!! I love a tiny bit of something sweet, so these are the perfect size (and they are under 100 calories per cone). The pumpkin ice cream with the ginger cone is the PERFECT combo. Definitely add these to your list if you pick up one fall item on your next shopping trip – you will not regret it! 🙂
23. Caramel Apple Mochi
I was excited to try this one as I do love mochi! If you like a sweet caramel apple, I think you will love this one. It was a bit too sweet for me, but did really taste like a caramel apple! I heard from a lot of you that you loved this one so definitely give it a try if you love caramel apples! My daughters are big fans of these.
24. Pumpkin Cheesecake Croissants
These pumpkin cheesecake croissants were a new product in 2022 and they are definitely one of my MUST TRIES for the season – especially if you love cheesecake and croissants. They are the perfect combo with just the right amount of pumpkin taste. These are found in the frozen section and each box comes with 2 croissants.
A perfect afternoon treat with a cup of hot tea or coffee. Flakey wafers wrapped around pumpkin sweetness. Yum. My daughters (10 and 7 years old) are also big fans of these!
Fall Fun
26. Pumpkins & Gourds
I LOVE LOVE having so many pumpkins around my home for the fall season. Trader Joe’s typically has the best prices for the Cinderella pumpkins (which I LOVE!) as well as lots of other small pumpkins and gourds. Always my favorite place to stock up for the fall season!
For those who find comfort in the heartwarming embrace of fall, Trader Joe’s fall candles are a fragrant journey through a culinary dreamscape. With each flickering flame, you’re transported to a world where cinnamon-dusted pastries cool on windowsills and freshly harvested apples beckon from rustic baskets. They have two scents for fall that smell SO good: Vanilla Pumpkin and Honeycrisp Apple. Also love that the candles are made with a soy wax blend and a lead-free cotton wick (which is so important! More on our fave non-toxic candles here).
What are my Top 5 fall Trader Joe’s products would I recommend?
Someone on Instagram asked this and thought I would add it here. These are my 5 must haves for fall: The Pumpkin Ginger Ice Cream Cones, Pumpkin Cream Cheese, Butternut Squash Ravioli, Spicy Pumpkin Samosas, and the Pumpkin Ginger Scones. YUM!
What else did we try that we didn’t love?
A lot of you on Instagram wanted to know what we tried that we weren’t fans of…well, the apple cider donuts (dry and super sugary), the pumpkin O’s (just tasted like air, not enough pumpkin taste!) and the pumpkin ravioli (way too sweet for a dinner for me…)
Okay, so those are our picks for fall 2023 from Trader Joe’s! Did we miss any of your faves? What are you most excited to try? We’d love to hear in the comments.
