The Bride Wore A Yellow Dress For This Chic NYC Restaurant Wedding

Planning

One of the first homes that Samantha + Stanislas shared together was an apartment in the heart of NYC’s vibrant Chinatown, and when they started planning their big day they knew that it would be beyond special to gather their friends and family in that part of Manhattan.

“We have always loved the food, the diversity, and the chaos of the city, and when we were planning our wedding, we wanted something chic and exciting,” says the couple. “Chinatown felt like a true representation of that, not to mention it brought us back home to the beginnings of our relationship.”

The goal was a low-stress wedding day with cocktail party energy that truly felt like a hip get-together with all of their favorite people. Chinese Tuxedo was the perfect spot. Not only does it have a super cool industrial restaurant space full of leather booths and candles and mid-century modern pendant lights, it’s also got moody, retro speakeasy—Peachy’s—dimly lit and full of neon signs.

Samantha + Stanislas shook up the typical wedding day timeline to prioritize spending time with everyone and started their celebration with drinks at Peachy’s. Then came the ceremony, followed by a modern Chinese food feast upstairs in the restaurant!

The real show stopper of the day, though, has to be Samantha’s absolutely breathtaking yellow wedding gown!!

We can’t wait to show you this chic and unique NYC wedding, so let’s get into some of the amazing pictures that Bailey Q Photo took!

Stanislas brought so much timeless groom energy with this white jacket tux from Brooks Brothers.

We have to show some love to Samantha’s perfectly matched yellow cross-front pointed toe mule heels. What a classic-yet-bold wedding shoe! Shop this pair of yellow satin pointed toe pumps by Porte & Paire for a similar look.

Samantha started her wedding dress search with no reason to think that a traditional white dress wouldn’t be for her. But none of the all-white gowns she tried stood out. While scouring the internet for brands that spoke to her, Samantha found and fell in love with Solace London. She simply couldn’t get over the color of The Tiffany Maxi Dress in Mustard, and when she finally tried it on, it happened to fit perfectly! We are obsessed with the way the column gown’s overskirt creates a stunning Old Hollywood silhouette.

Upstairs For The Ceremony!

After drinks, the whole party moved upstairs into the multi-level restaurant space at Chinese Tuxedo for the ceremony!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Samantha: "The first part of the wedding was the cocktail reception in the bar downstairs, Peachy's, and after that everyone streamed upstairs to their tables before the ceremony. When everyone was gone, there was this eerie moment where the two of us were all alone in the empty bar; we could hear the hubbub of everyone upstairs, and were waiting for the signal to do our little walk up the aisle (of sorts). We both felt very nervous and excited, and it was actually the first time that day we were alone together. I remember thinking right then how impressive it was that that whole crowd we could hear from afar was there just for us, and the emotional charge of that moment was pretty powerful."
