Toi et Moi is a ring that consists of two gems that are either side by side or close together. The double stones symbolize two souls that are intertwined as one. Talk about romantic!!
We asked Ring Concierge’s CEO and Founder, Nicole Wegman, what she thinks about this lasted trend and she had this to say:
“Toi et Moi rings are a huge trend right now,” says Wegman. “The design originated from Napoleon Bonaparte in 1796 as a symbol of ‘two souls bound together against all odds’. Machine Gun Kelly personalized the design with a Pear Cut Emerald to represent Megan’s birthstone complimented by a Pear Cut Diamond, his own birthstone.
We foresee women purchasing this ring for themselves as a right hand ring because it feels less bridal than a traditional engagement ring, trending more towards a cocktail statement ring. We anticipate a more simplistic version growing in popularity than Megan’s design which was tailored to her personal style.”

The Toi et Moi ring first gained popularity when Napoleon Bonaparte proposed to Josephine with two pear-shaped stones, a diamond and a sapphire, set side by side. It was epic then and it’s epic now!
