A Dreamy, Opulent Destination Wedding in Santorini That Was Bursting with Flowers

Planning

This whole destination dream wedding began with a scroll.

Bride MaryBeth had seen pictures on Instagram of stunning seaside weddings in Santorini, Greece, and it was impossible not to fall in love with the idea. And getting groom Andrew on board with a beautiful Grecian adventure wasn’t hard at all.

Destination weddings do often come with the understanding that the guest list will be on the smaller side, and that was exactly what MaryBeth + Andrew wanted. “I think we mostly made the day about ourselves by keeping it small and having no wedding party,” says MaryBeth. “We love so many people but we wanted our day to be easy and fun and not stressing about guests.”

MaryBeth + Andrew are based in Connecticut, and their long-distance search for the right Santorini vendors and venue led them to Cavo Ventus and its breathtaking views and then to planners and event designers from Julia & Evita who helped the couple create their far-from-home festivities. MaryBeth loves flowers and knew that lots and lots of florals would make the day feel really special, so going big on beautiful blooms was a must.

Everything about MaryBeth + Andrew’s day was a total feast for the eyes, and we can’t get enough.

Phosart Photography really did capture the richness of this opulent and flower-filled destination celebration so perfectly. Let’s take a look!!

The Ceremony

Betty Flowers Santorini knew that there was no such thing as too many flowers at MaryBeth + Andrew’s wedding, so the day was bursting with florals. The couple chose to use flowers native to MaryBeth’s home state of Vermont so that their far-away wedding in Greece would have some ties to home!

Andrew’s classic black tux set the tone for the black tie vibes of this elegant day. Shop this one from Indochino to recreate his formal groom look.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

From MaryBeth: "I would absolutely put extra effort into selecting the right wedding planner and photographer. One of those assets will make your vision a reality, and the other will capture it for a lifetime of reminiscence."

Spicy Bites provided a feast for MaryBeth + Andrew’s intimate guest list as the sun went down over the sea.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

It’s hard to pick a most memorable moment. However, if we had to it would be seeing each other at the aisle or our first dance.
