A few months after Kaitlin + Will started dating they spent a romantic weekend away at Campy Lucy, a dreamy 282 acre resort property in the heart of Texas Hill Country that happens to be home to five beautiful event venues. As they strolled through a picturesque vineyard that weekend, Kaitlin said that if they ever got married this was where she’d want to do it.
Two years later, they were back at Campy Lucy saying “I do!!”
Together with event designers and planners from Simply XO Events they brought to life a wedding vision that was vibrant, playful, and full of fun. These photos from Katherine Larson Photography capture the lighthearted and colorful vibe of the entire celebration.

Can we have a round of applause for Kaitlin’s low back sequin corset top wedding dress by KHYA that she found at The Wedding Studio? Kaitlin says she went into her dress hunt dreaming of something without any lace or beading. The dress she had her eye on originally featured romantic layered tulle. But then she spotted this glittery gown…
“As we walked around pulling different options, I was completely captivated by a completely beaded corset top dress on one of the mannequins,” says Kaitlin. “The stylist (who was shocked that this was something I was interested in based on what I had previously told her) let me know that the dress was being discontinued and that unfortunately they would not be able to order it. She could see my disappointment and mentioned that IF the sample fit, she could speak with the shop owner to see if she would be willing to sell me the sample – but – if it is too small, there isn’t anything that could be done to make it fit. Well, I tried that dress on and it fit like a glove. Absolutely perfection with no alterations necessary! It was the first and last dress I tried on, it was absolute perfection.”
This bridal party color palette!! 😍 Sorry. We can’t get over it. “If you want a bridesmaid look that is unique, work directly with your planner!” says Kaitlin. “We worked hand in hand with Simply XO Events to create the perfect color palette and curate the different dress styles! We went back and forth with lots of different colors, textures, designs, prints and eventually landed on the perfect scheme that aligned with our design! For me, I wanted a lot of textures and tiers to bring a playful feel to the dresses and have some cohesion – then the flowers are what truly pulled it all together!”
This mismatch palette was carefully created by sourcing looks from different brands. From left to right, the green dress and pink floral dress came from V Chapman, the lavender dress came from Hazel and Olive, the yellow dress is from Gianni Bini, the green floral dress is from ASTR the Label, and the pink dress is Sabina Musayev.
“The bride really wanted it to feel like her best friends showed up wearing their best, cutest dresses as opposed to some of the cookie cutter bridesmaids dresses,” says planner Jordyn from Simply XO Events.
