“We fell in love in Brooklyn,” say newlyweds Lexi + Ben, “which is why we decided to get married there too.”
These two romantics used the beginning of their love story as the setting for what became a glowy, floral fairytale of a winter wedding, and we are so excited to give you a peek at the pictures that Anthony Vazquez Photography took.
The Liberty Warehouse in Red Hook, Brooklyn was the first and only space that Lexi + Ben toured. They saw it, they loved it, and—when they found out that the date exactly one year after Ben proposed was available—they knew it was meant to be.
“I wanted it to feel like a fairytale, so I thought baby’s breath would be the perfect touch to do this,” says Lexi of the billowy florals that made this celebration so special. “With candles lit on a winter night in a warm cozy warehouse with fireplaces and brick walls, this wedding felt intimate, extravagant and so welcoming.”
First things first: this jaw-dropping gown! Lexi lived out all of our floral wedding dress dreams in the Evelyn gown from Galia Lahav. “I was the type of bride who tried on many dresses before finding the one,” says Lexi. “I thought I knew exactly what style I wanted going into the dress search, but I came out with the complete opposite.”
Since Lexi is an proposal planner and wedding professional, she attended New York Bridal Fashion Week and got to see Galia Lahav preview their Spring 2024 Collection: “I had the best day at Galia Lahav, meeting Galia herself, the talented creative designers and the rest of their team. One of the models was outside modeling in the streets of Soho. Outside of the Galia showroom with Galia. She was wearing the Evelyn gown, and right when I saw it, I knew had to try it on. I told the team I was obsessed with it for myself and asked if I could try it on – which they were kind enough to let me. Right when I put the gown on, I knew it was the one. But it wasn’t the only one… I wore 3 dresses at my wedding by Galia Lahav that I changed into for the reception and after party.”
Lexi’s beautiful curls were created by Bridal Luxe New York, and her rosy glam and shimmery eye look were by Makeup With Val.
Groom Alex rocked a classic black tux by J. Mueser which he paired with Ferragamo shoes. Love that his groomsmen kept things black tie across the board with their dashing tuxedoes!
Obsessed with the way that Lexi’s crew’s black bridesmaid dresses each had their own distinct sparkle!
The Ceremony
This ceremony took aisle decor to a whole new level with this sea of glowy taper candles. The clear stands make them seem like they’re floating!
Pegasus Productions was behind the whole celebration’s mind-blowing lighting. These twinkling string lights are just the beginning.
We’ve GOT to talk about the baby’s breath masterpiece that The Avenue J Florist created on Lexi + Ben’s chuppah! Those twisty climbing installations! The way it covers the ceiling! We’ve never seen anything like it.
The ceremony didn’t begin until after sundown, so all of these candles really got a chance to *shine.*
So romantic the way the chuppah details were peeking through the baby’s breath!
