Bride Melanie knew from the start that she loved the idea of a light + airy “On Cloud Nine”-themed bridal shower.
When it came to planning, though, Melanie handed total creative control over to the geniuses at Social Kai Wedding & Event Design. “Other than the theme,” Social Kai says, “Melanie put her full faith and trust in us to create the shower of her dreams!”
What took shape was this dreamy, cloud-filled shower that filled Oak & Ashe in Lake Worth, Florida with tons of elevated yet playful design details and immersed guests in a floaty fantasy.
“For this bridal shower we drew inspiration from our buzz words: cloud, pearl, whimsical, organic, elevated & texture,” says Social Kai. “There of course needed to be clouds, so why not make it seem like we were floating in the clouds?” Billowy, balloon-filled cloud-shaped installations did just that, and dangling wicker hot air balloons added tons of texture and whimsy.
There was a chic champagne wall. There was an espresso bar with custom cups. The sky truly was the limit, and photographer Justine Berges was behind the lens capturing it all beautifully!

“Nosh Catering & Events passed breakfast-worthy hors d’oeuvres such as mini pancake stacks, avocado toast, smoked salmon bagels and mini breakfast burritos,” Social Kai remembers. “After the greetings the guests were seated for a fabulous brunch! Their first course consisted of a yogurt parfait styled in a crystal coupe glass, baskets of muffins, and towers of assorted pastries. That was followed by a main course of the classics: Belgian waffles and eggs Benedict!”
