Borgo Musolino, a historic Italian agricultural estate, sits on a wooded hillside in the heart of Messina, Sicily’s Peloritani Mountains. The feudal stronghold made of stone dates all the way back to the mid-1500. And it is fantasy, fairytale wedding venue dreams. Which is what made it the perfect spot for the Elisa + Filippo’s magical, autumnal “I do’s.”
“We both love nature,” says Elisa of how the wedding’s aesthetic took shape. “Filippo adores Norway and Viking culture. And me, I am fascinated by mystery and magic. We wanted to have a celtic ceremony to celebrate the power of nature elements, love and souls.”
Together with event designers from Blanc aux Reveurs Elissa + Filippo created a celebration rich in symbol and ritual that felt ancient + otherworldly. Candles. Dried florals. Earth tones. A ceremony in the woods. A reception in the manor’s greenhouse.
The whole thing was straight out of an enchanted leather-bound history book, and we’ve got Alberto Cosenza’s beautiful photographs to prove it.

Elissa looked like a full-on fairy queen in this gorgeous off-the-shoulder floral appliqué Alessandro Angelozzi Couture wedding gown from Le Spose di Master.
“My desire was to wear a dress that was fairytale and a bit of a woodland witch!” says Elissa of how she found this dreamy, ethereal fairytale princess wedding dress.
Not only did Blanc aux Reveurs design the event, they also created all of the day’s earthy flower arrangements including this moody bridal bouquet. LOVE the feathers!
