A Charming “Peach Fuzz” Inspired Warehouse Wedding with a Contemporary-Yet-Vintage Vibe

peach fuzz inspired wedding ceremony design

Peach Fuzz. It’s the charming, warm, pastel pink-orange hue that stole all of our hearts when it was announced as Pantone’s 2024 Color of the Year. It was also the design inspiration for this delightfully romantically retro 70’s-inspired wedding editorial.

Genevieve Brune of Blümen—floral designer and visionary behind the shoot—said it best when she called the color “both soft and bold.”

We are 100% obsessed with the contemporary-yet-vintage vision that planners from Thyme & Details and the talented team of Ohio-based vendors created for this editorial and the way it imagines the life + texture that a retro wedding vibe can bring to a more modern + industrial space like The Century in Columbus.

So sit back, chill out 70’s style, and enjoy Annie Darr’s wonderful photos of what Genevieve so aptly calls: “a glimpse into a wedding day crafted to look like the couple’s unique love story and not just another trend.”

Dreamy + Peachy “I Do’s”

Absolutely in love with that hand woven ceremony backdrop! The colors are peachy perfection and the textile feel is a terrific throwback to the major patchwork + macrame moment of the the 1970’s

Katherine Harrison was on hand to officiate at the shoot and create the full wedding experience.

How cute are real life couple Rachel + Oliver, by the way??

If you adore the idea of an orange wedding dress like Rachel’s as much as we do, take a peek at this magical Montana elopement for even more inspo.

This show-stopping, shimmery eye makeup look from Makeup By Baily deserves a standing ovation for sure. And so does this wavy middle-part Farrah Fawcett-inspired hair from Lauren Wolff!

More Lovely Looks

“One of the most memorable moments of the day was when Rachel and Oliver were able to let loose – with Oliver slipping into an easy, thrifted short sleeve button-up shirt and we cut a slit in Rachel’s dress and ditched the veil,” says Genevieve. “The transformation of their outfits matched the evolution of the day and the feeling of relaxing into the newly-wed life.”

A Chic + Retro Reception

These colors! 🩵 🍑 Who knew periwinkle blue paired so perfectly with peach fuzz!

“The venue features white walls and ceilings with exposed beams and pipes, giving a clean, industrial look,” Genevieve says. The Century was the perfect canvas for our colors to pop and also allowed for a fun, hand-crafted hanging installation over the head table.”

Linens + tabletop decor from Got Ya Covered Linens created a beautifully blue background against which those peachy florals could pop.
