The boldness and beauty of the color red was all it took to spark some inspiration in the inventive team of vendors behind this romantic Athens, Greece wedding editorial shoot.
For a setting they had Pyrgos Petreza—a stunning 70-acre estate in Spata (just east of Athens) with sprawling vineyards and structures built from reclaimed stone. Planner + event designer Ioanna Karatza collaborated with florist Jim Labraco to bring to life the rich, red design they had envisioned. And sophisticated yet adventurous wedding day style completed the project’s chic + contemporary vibe.
“This editorial was a testament to the artistry and creativity that defines the wedding industry,” says photographer George Liopetas. “Together, our creative team brought to life a wedding editorial that captured the essence of romance and elegance. From the majestic surroundings of Petreza Castle to the intricate details of the floral arrangements and bridal attire, every aspect was meticulously curated to create a timeless celebration of love and beauty.”

A Crimson Ceremony
“Nestled among verdant vineyards, Petreza Castle provided the perfect backdrop for our editorial, with its timeless charm and elegant architecture,” says photographer George Liopetas. “The castle’s exclusive wine, crafted from its own vineyards, set the tone for our theme: ‘Fifty Shades of Red,’ infusing the atmosphere with passion and allure.”
Jim Labraco’s whimsical + romantic red florals gave the setup its elevated fairytale love story feel.
“The masterful floral creations by Jim Labraco elevated the ambiance to new heights with cascading arrangements of crimson blooms and verdant foliage,” George reflects. “Jim’s unparalleled talent brought our vision to life, weaving a tapestry of beauty and romance throughout the castle grounds.”
Creation Event Rentals provided specialty rentals to round out the day’s decor.
