Planning

You are absolutely not ready for the romantic story of how Wesley + Keith found each other.

Wesley was at a party in college when one of her friends dared her to kiss the next guy who walked in. And who was that next guy? We’ll give you one guess.

When Wesley + Keith started wedding planning, they were tasked with creating a celebration worthy of their love story’s meant-to-be meet cute, and boy, did they deliver.

With the iconically mid-century Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, Arizona as their setting, the couple created a bold + retro 1960’s-inspired event to compliment the hotel’s historic architecture.

“The couple integrated their outgoing, fun, and life-of-the-party personalities by mixing the old and new,” remembers photographer Valerie of Val Photo Co. There were funky patterns and a feathery wedding dress. There were vibrant bridesmaid dresses and some unbelievably romantic retro film + super-8 wedding photography.

The whole thing felt mod + magical, and we can’t wait to give you a peek inside this dreamy destination celebration!

The First Look

Joyful photos like this are one of the many reasons why we love a first look.

Never underestimate the power of a vibrant bridal bouquet. These vivid purples, reds, and oranges effortlessly tied Wesley’s look in with the rest of the day’s bold, colorful elements.

We’re loving this voluminous statement bow—bows are one of the wedding trends we’re most excited about!

Every 60’s-inspired bride needs an iconic pair of bridal sunglasses.

Wesley’s chic, short wedding veil is giving us major Priscilla Presley vibes.

Strappy chartreuse slingback pumps from Reformation added a pop of color to Wesley’s look that coordinated perfectly with the greenery in her bouquet.

The bride and groom danced in front of the stage while the FOB drummed with the band for a song. All the wedding guests were on the dance floor going nuts. It was a party!
