Picture it: an idyllic island off the coast of Cancún. Sandy beaches. Stunning sunsets. And a few of the friends and fam you love most there to watch you say “I do.” Sounds dreamy, doesn’t it?
It was more than just a dream for Andrea + Alberto. Their intimate, secluded beach wedding on Isla Mujeres in Mexico was remote, romantic real life.
Together with planner Amellali Fernández and event designers from Maria Event Experiences the bride + groom created an elegant + elevated beach celebration that embraced whites, ivories, and neutrals. “We wanted everything white, classic with a beach touch,” say Andrea + Alberto. “We wanted nature, the sea, and the vegetation to stand out.”
The stunning photographs from Leon Arci are the proof: this beach wedding was beyond breathtaking. There was a ceremony on the sand and a sunset dinner party. Waves crashed, string lights twinkled, and the whole thing was pure Mexico magic.
Vamos! Let’s take a look!
Behold: Andrea’s stunning, simple, modern-yet-timeless “Palm” gown from NEWHITE.
“The dress was the third one I tried on, and from the first time I saw it I knew it was the one,” says Andrea of finding her wedding gown at Lovely Bride. “It was very important for me to feel comfortable, and I fell in love with the fabric of the dress.”

A Seaside Ceremony
Gotta be barefoot on the beach! Andrea + Alberto used super cute + simple calligraphy wedding signage to show their guests where to park their shoes.
What beachy celebration would be complete without some personalized fresh coconuts!
This modern Mexican destination wedding and this earthy Hawaiian wedding are also perfect examples of celebrations that were totally *made* by sharing refreshing coconuts with guests.
“The arch of the ceremony was unique,” remembers the couple, “inspired by the fact that it was not perfect and blended in with the ocean view.”
These bamboo + canvas stools are the perfect example of creative ceremony seating that embraces + amplifies the vibe of the ceremony location.
How stunning does the shimmery satin of Andrea’s simple wedding dress look beside the waves + the sand!
