When a graphic designer and a floral designer wed, you know the results are going to be EPIC. Cara + Will wanted color, fun, and artistic elements for their wedding day and we have to say- they executed the vision perfectly! C works for FLWR Events and with the team’s help, plus the coordination of Kaitlynn Montgomery through the Nashville wedding venue 14Tenn, they pulled off a rad rainbow inspired wedding complete with sequins, fringe, color and an insanely cool ceiling installation.
C shares more about their inspiration for the day:
We wanted to party in an art installation; the primary medium being flowers. Because when you have an opportunity to create a collective “wow” moment, why not make it a rainbow flower cloud? We picked all of the colors because it’s impossible to choose a pallet, and actually, you don’t have to. We selected the venue because it felt like a gallery with the white walls and vaulted ceilings, plus they let you party all night. So that’s what we did.
Ready to look through the lens of The Commoneer? You’re gonna love it! Let’s go!
Incredible Wedding Fashion
C and her bridesmaids looked straight off the pages of a high fashion magazine! How cool are all of these fun and funky looks?? C shares:
Shopping for my dress took all of one visit. I loved it and that was that. Also, I am so proud of all my girls for pulling off their looks. I told them, “Before I show up, that aisle is your runway so work it!” I gave them a mood board and they nailed it.
Bridal Beauty
C looked every bit the boho babe on wedding day with Trae Howard hair and Blush and Honey makeup!
Plus, this Rue De Seine gown from LVD Bridal is EVERYTHING! The embellishments, the sleeves, the Sam Edelman heels… perfection!
W was also looking dashing in a Richard’s Bespoke suit and Cole Haan shoes.
The moment we realized all of the planning and worrying was over. We did it! This is it, it’s all for us and we soaked it in.
Rainbow Florals
Guys, this one left us speechless! Imagine walking down the aisle under this rainbow floral cloud and saying your vows in front of the coolest architectural installation! FLWR shop used loads of textured fillers, hanging amaranthus, hydrangea and peonies to create the look.
Moments like these always get us!
Processional: Kacey Musgraves “Oh, What a World” Performed by our lovely friend Charlotte Huggins
Recessional: Bibio “à tout à l’heure”
First Dance: Dan Auerbach “Never in my wildest dreams”
The Newlyweds
Seriously… these FLWR shop florals….WOW.
This ombré styled centerpiece used dainty bud vase arrangements which on their own are super simple, but when put together created the ultimate in rainbow floral goals!!
The day also featured beautifully styled furniture and tabletop rentals from Music City Tents and Events.
Rainbow Reception
Obsessed with this look as much as we are?? You can find more rainbow wedding ideas on the site!
It’s All in the Details
These adorable menus showcasing the Juniper Green catering? Designed by the Groom, Will Schneider, of course! Seriously, these two are super talented!!
Dancing the Night Away
Under the sparkle of Bright Events lighting, C + W danced their hearts out to music from Black Circle.
Come up with what YOU want, and invest in vendors you trust to realize your vision. Share your ideas, pick someone you believe in, and give them the space to make it happen. Hire a day-of coordinator. Treat your guests to late-night food! Oh, and plan an exit strategy. We forgot—shout out to our Lyft driver Karen for her patience while we loaded her Camry with all of our crap.
The most epic second dress!! This sequin stunner is by Lirika Matoshi! Cara + Will, your rainbow wedding definitely adds brightness to the World! Thank you for sharing this final bit of advice for our couples:
Our hearts go out to everyone planning any type of event in the current state of the world. People need a reason to celebrate more than ever and they’ll all show up with bells on!
