The Ocean was calling Taylor + Spencer and they just knew they had to answer with a spectacular destination wedding in beautiful Mexico. Their wedding day was all about coastal vibes, beautiful simplicity and nods to local culture. With the help of planners, Beijos Events, they mixed together earthy tones, beachy attire and the most beautiful reception venue for their big day.
T shared more with us about their inspiration:
Our inspiration for the day came from the natural aesthetic of the San Cristòbal in Todos Santos, Mexico. We fell in love with the San Cristòbal’s vibe and how it highlights the beautiful simplicity of Mexico. You would never know that down a dirt road opened up to the sweetest escape right on the beach. Growing up in Southern California we share the same love for the ocean and being able to wake up on our wedding day with an ocean dip and a morning surf meant everything to us.
Lexi Hatch Photography was there to capture the magic of the day! Scroll along with us and let’s soak it all up!
Destination Wedding Location
Can we just say WOW?! There’s no doubt that we’d put a wedding-day dip on the top of our list too after seeing this place!
T gathered together the most effortless look for the big day, including these dainty, beachy Loeffler Randall heels.
Gals Gettin’ Ready
We’re loving these tropical-inspired Stone Cold Fox getting ready robes! Unfortunately that print is no longer available, but if you’re looking for cute loungewear for you and your girls, check out our roundup of the best bridesmaids robes! These cute and cozy ladies were looking so beautiful thanks to hair and makeup by Los Cabos Makeup.
The First Look
T + S chose to keep their wedding day attire sleek and classic with a stunning Dan Jones bridal gown and black groom’s attire from Malibu Clothes. Don’t you think T’s slinky dress is perfect for a destination wedding?! She shares more about how she found it:
I’m lucky to live in LA because we have such a great selection of smaller wedding boutiques to chose from. I wanted something simple and timeless but with a unique twist that made it feel like it was made for me. I ended up finding that in a dress by Dan Jones at LOHO Bride – which stands for a “league of her own”… their boutique definitely lives up to their name!
The Whole Gang
T found the PERFECT bridesmaids dresses in these dusty green gowns from V. Chapman. They’re effortless enough to match the beachy vibes, but those adorable ruffles add a flirty touch too!
If you are looking for bridesmaids dresses with ruffles we rounded up a few similar options as well below!
The Ceremony
T+S had their good friend officiate their ceremony for an extra special and meaningful touch. If you love this idea, this class teaches friends how to officiate your wedding.
Our ceremony is my favorite memory and took place in the San Cristòbal’s quaint chapel. Our dear friend that I’ve known since grade school was our officiant and curated such an amazing and personal ceremony. I wanted to surprise Spencer with his wedding gift within the ceremony and had his sister recite a beautiful reading about Saint Christopher, the protector of travel. After the reading, I gifted him a gold Saint Christopher as a symbol that will always protect him.
Newly wed and ready to party!!

First Dance: Treat You Better, Rufus Du Sol
Aren’t these Himalayan salt shot glasses the cutest detail?! T+S made sure to keep their wedding day accents sleek and stylish. Caitlin Spaulding provided all of the paper goods for the day and Proper Letter did the calligraphy.
Reception Venue Magic
If this doesn’t make you want to jump on a plane to Mexico, we don’t know what will!! This spot makes for the perfect destination wedding venue with its rustic stone walls and magical lanterns lining the walkways.
Disco Dreams
Warehouse Rentals provided the rentals for the reception venue. We’re loving the neutral decor mixed with festive disco balls for a bit of party!
Pina Cate designed the florals for the day and kept everything romantic and fluffy with blooms like roses, carnations and lisianthus.
Stay true to yourself and your vision. Try to remind yourself that it’s about the two of you and your journey. I also loved The Knot’s to-do list and planner to keep me on track!
Congratulations Taylor + Spencer! Your destination wedding makes us want to pack our bags and escape to the beach right away! So dreamy!! The GWS team is wishing you both lots of beautiful adventures ahead!
