Since we can’t physically transport ourselves to Mexico anytime soon, please indulge us as we daydream a little through this romantic boho wedding at Acre Baja! Victoria + Peyton wed on a beautiful day surrounded by their loved ones in a jungle-like setting. She wore one of our favorite boho dresses (after ditching the first one she bought!) and helped plan the SWEETEST surprise at the reception. Here’s a little more to love about the day in Victoria’s words:
I wanted a romantic boho wedding vibe and my husband loves the coast, so we married the two. During the ceremony, we did what is called a ‘ring warming’ where we tied our wedding bands inside a gold shell and our officiant asked that each guest hold the shell up to their hearts and put good energy into them and pass them on. Our rings circled their way through all our family, guests and bridal party as our ceremony was taking place and it made its way back up to us in perfect timing charged with everyone’s love and good vibes.
All the details came together with design + planning by Events By Bliss, and Gina & Ryan Photography were there to capture it all!

The First Look
Forever the sweetest moment!
How rad is this photo with that palm shadow on their faces?!
The Story Behind the Boho Wedding Dress
Of all decisions, this was the hardest one for me. I originally purchased a wedding gown after I went shopping with an entourage. After it arrived and sitting on it for months, I just did not feel like it was ME. So, I was able to sell the original one online and just took my mom to go shopping at The Dress Theory. It helped to filter out the noise and pick a dress that I felt beautiful in, no matter if someone else thought it was “too boho.” I found the Adelia Lune gown by Rue De Seine instantly. I realized that I needed to feel the most confident in how I envisioned myself, not how someone else envisioned me.
Proof that it’s always best to go with your gut — this dress looks like it was made for Victoria!
Okay, SO cute!
Taking it all in.
Blushing Bridal Party
The bridesmaids wore a mix of dresses they chose from Shona Joy and WAYF, and Victoria’s Man of Honor (below!) wore a pink suit from RW&CO.
A little pre-ceremony cocktail and here we go!
The Totally Romantic Boho Wedding Ceremony
The destination at the end of the aisle!
A mix of dried palms, pampas grass, blush roses, and rust-colored blooms by Lola de Campo decorated the altar. You know we LOVE this.
V + P added a spiritual smudging with sage to symbolize entering their marriage with pure and positive intentions before they sealed it with a kiss.
Processional: Wicked Game James Vincent McMorrow
Recessional: Higher Love by Kygo & Whitney Houston
First Dance: Beyond by Leon Bridges
Keep what is important close to your heart and let the rest go. My mantra going through the planning process was, “Will this really matter 20 years from now? Will I look back in 20 years and be upset about this detail?” I find that it helped keep the important things in perspective.
Remember this day was on YOUR mind every day while you planned — to everyone else, they are a guest attending another wedding and life will go on the very next day. So, live in the moment and don’t focus on details that may have been missed or didn’t go perfectly. No one else knew about that other than you two! Be present and relax. It will be the best day of your life if you let it!
Peyton suited up in YSL and added a hat by Nick Fouquet for the reception!
Twilight Reception
Just when you thought this wedding couldn’t be any dreamier…
What a pretty tablescape! The perfect mix of boho and romance.
Peyton loves the coast, so Victoria fit little details in the design — like name cards made of rose-gold-dipped capiz and urchin shells that were placed among pampas grass and florals.
Baja Boutique Rental + Warehouse Rentals knocked it out of the park with a combination of their beautiful, beachy, boho pieces!
How fun are those sparklers on the dance floor?!
The Love Continues — a Reception Surprise!
To nearly everyone’s surprise (besides Victoria’s!) the bride’s brother dropped to one knee as “Marry Me” by Bruno Mars drifted through the speakers!
My favorite memory was my brother proposing to his now fiancé. People wondered if I was angry he did that on our big day but, little did they know, it was ALL my idea. To us, the day was a celebration of family, friends, and love. What better way to kick off a night of dancing than with a proposal to rush everyone to the dance floor? It was epic! It could not have gone better and she had NO idea!
The coolest photo to close out such a rad wedding day! Congrats to the happy couple from all of us at GWS!
