After launching our ‘We’re Here’ campaign on social media this morning, it truly does give me the greatest of pleasures to be able to share an exquisite editorial like this, especially when it features the work of 5 of our very own Little Book Wedding Directory members.
This beautiful editorial was sent in by Caroline Redpath, Creative Director of Fleur Provacateur, who specialise in wedding and event flowers. I loved these images from the moment I saw them and knew I had to share them with you. I am deeply proud to represent a tiny but hugely talented example of the creativity and passion within our wedding sector through these images. “Ephemeral Beauty was a unique opportunity to be wildly imaginative and free with a design concept, juxtaposing the elegant natural decay of flowers, with imagery from the preservation of ‘Sleeping Beauty’.”
“Unlike so much of the current styled shoot inspiration, the central notion of this editorial was to embrace the ephemeral nature of flowers and their inevitable decomposition. I collated together a magnificent set of suppliers from across the South of England, including Sophia Veres Photography, G and T Film and Joanne Fleming.”

“Came House is the most beautiful Palladian country house set within the gorgeous Dorset countryside. The beautiful domed conservatory was the perfect setting to start our fairytale. Caroline of Fleur Provocateur created a natural meadow installation from wild foraged material to create a decaying and dried backdrop, enclosed by the glass ceiling, reminiscent of the preservation of Sleeping Beauty.”
“The large bed canopy was the perfect for the enveloping wild hops and rose briar. A pervading sense of time standing still as Aurora sleeps, is extenuated with dry brittle windswept leaves. In true fairytale style, as Aurora is rescued from her slumber and a romance develops, a few fresh flowers are incorporated into the designs.”
“Talented Rubana from Crimson Letters drew inspiration from the rich-gold interiors as the main focal point. Playing with a muted cream, mood-rich ochre watercolour backgrounds and use of dramatic, yet refined curved imagery.”
“Bronze acrylic, whites, creams and real copper foil leaf, with many hand painted gold touches and swirls of paint mingle to create a lasting yet textural invitation experience.”
“The large fireplace installation echoes the grandeur of the room, the natural golden to beige hues of the dried materials are enliven by golden garden roses, and floating white cosmos. The tablescape is quite spare with a dried hop runner and central mixed arrangement.”
“However, tableware from The White Chair Company and stationery from Crimson Letters are opulent in the extreme, and in complete harmony with the glorious interior of the room. The sumptuous bridal bouquet is predominantly fresh blown garden roses with a decadent use of natural silk ribbons from the lovely Kate Cullen, a nod to the living breathing heroine in this classic fairy tale romance.”
“The very talented work of Jo Fleming was the star of this bridal editorial. Her dresses are works of art. This gorgeous original high neck gown made of embroidered silk organza and tulle, with stylised floral features and full gathered puff sleeves. The peachy tones of the under-slip complemented the palette of the shoot.”
“A truly inspirational creation. The dress was complemented by shoes of Harriet Wilde, tied with Kate Cullen Ribbon. The brilliant Rob from Gingersnap was dressed in a beautiful tweed suit from Moss Bros.”
“This editorial brought together a dream team of Laura Le Page and Ellie of The UpDo Girl to transform the lovely Fran and Rob of Gingersnap Models. For makeup, Laura used warm neutral tones on the eyes and lips paired with luminous skin to create a soft romantic feel. For the awakening scene Ellie kept the hair loose to create something soft and romantic, then creating a hairstyle with a more regal feel to fit in with the beautiful surroundings of the venue.”
“The beautiful Titania tiara and matching earrings, were by the brilliant Hermione Harbutt. An organic and glamorous piece, featuring pearl and crystal tendrils, accented by golden floral details. Ethereal, delicate and dreamy.”
“Drawing on the beautifully abundant Rococo plasterwork that adorns Came House, Leanne of Baking Chick created a cake using these elements as inspiration. Delicate flowers, acorns and blackberries in subtle nude tones adorn the main design. Adding some unstructured, free flowing sugar flowers and vines to complement the design.”
“It is impossible not to mention the remarkable talent that is Sophia Veres. Not only is her beautiful photography so dynamic and warm, full of texture and really natural, she is an absolute delight to work with. She has an incredible eye for stunning compositions, and stealthily captures detail and moment.”
“Coupled with the dynamic duo of Gaby and Tye, we had the ultimate team. G and T Film are utterly exceptional. Jumping onboard with the wayward ideas, they weaved their magic and created a whimsical storyline and devastatingly beautiful film. The film and photographs tell the tale of Aurora preserved for hundreds of years, surrounded by decaying flora in the most beautiful of houses.”
