We’re well into October but this whimsical boho wedding inspiration might help you recall those perfect and fleeting moments that live in that last summer sunset. Calling on blush and terracotta tones, there’s a bit of sweet confection + nostalgia in the design, conjured up by design Nikki of Runaway Indie:
The end of summer is filled with last moments, the last warm night, last walk on the beach, and the last sunset. I wanted to capture the feeling of that final summer sunset, the feeling of holding your loved one tight before kicking off your heels for one last wild summer night! Our colors throughout the wedding were inspired by the California sunset. Not only did we want soft pink hues but we wanted to include the deep and rust oranges that fly across the late summer sky.
Let’s fall in love a little with photos from Tess Laureen, shall we?

Whimsical Boho Wedding Dress
Look familiar?! It’s ALL in the details! The bride donned a confectionary tiered dress from Lace & Beads and a halo crown by Carbickova Crowns.
A Sunset-Themed Alter
What a vision!
Let’s unpack this rad alter, shall we?! We begin with a blush backdrop by West and Rose, add a mixture of dried florals and blooms in pinks + oranges by Love Her Madly, and light it up with a sign by Neon Dive Bar to finish!
Don’t you just love pink?
Blushing Bride Wedding Cape
For a second look, the bride wore a DREAMY blush ruffled floor-length capelet by Katie Pritchard Designs.
Pink + Terracotta Boho Reception Table
Runaway Indie created the hanging lanterns perched above the table! Each lantern was hand wrapped with blush tulle fabric and cotton cordage in various sunset shades.
All the gold acrylic signage and nameplates are by Kulgra — aren’t they so beautiful?
The flowers on the tulle train!! What a fun detail!
We will forever love sunset hues in weddings!
Boho Rainbow Wedding Cake
Oh, now this cake is perfection. The colors and the 70s vibes by Hapa Cupcakes are SO GOOD.
