This modern rooftop wedding is defined by effortless elegance. Every aspect of this editorial is dripping with sophistication and, most of all, fun! The hustle and bustle of downtown city streets against the romantic setting of a wedding is a juxtaposition we’ll never tire of. Set above the city skyline, we’re sharing how to absolutely nail a modern rooftop wedding!
To create a sophisticated rooftop celebration that really captures the feeling of a chic city wedding, Mae & Co Creative honed in on the details. We designed and built a custom arch, knowing that we needed to create an original piece to frame the city backdrop. For this modern rooftop wedding, we knew we wanted to create a custom frame with strong, architectural lines that would create a timeless, high fashion feel.
We can hear the calm but hurried sounds of the city already. Here’s the micro wedding inspiration captured by Catalina Jean straight from the fab rooftop of the Ecotrust Building:
The custom invitation suite by State of Reverie features modern, elegant typography and the muted tones match the sophisticated feel of this elegant event.
Northwest Makeup & Hair also know how to ‘nail it,’ as they did with the bride’s gorgeous rooftop look.
How to Throw a Modern Rooftop Micro Wedding
Every modern detail works in harmony as cascading blooms, designed by Goodseed Floral, intertwine with structured framing + soft fabrics. This all mirrors the way the bride’s soft pink veil swirls around her modern, structural gown at this rooftop wedding venue.
Pretty in Pink Wedding Veil
Wow, just stunning.
We have a soft spot for rooftop weddings. Here are the best rooftop wedding venues in the US!
City Lovers
Do we all need a blush wedding veil? Probably.
Urban Reception on the Rooftop
Are you into this ghost chair look? We love that modern edge with the city setting.
Let’s cozy up near this urban fireplace! The lush tablescape design incorporates tall floral installations, creating a dynamic shape that plays in conversation with the rooftop views. Modern rentals from The Party Place include gold flatware, smoke glassware + edgy chargers.
Black Wedding Cake
One of our favorite *eye candy* treats is a towering black cake – and this one has a whimsical marble detail on it! So intriguing and fun against the cityscape behind.
Runnin’ wild + lookin’ pretty, hot child in the city 🙂
