Whatever comes to mind when you imagine a basketball court wedding venue, we’re almost certain it isn’t this. Breanna + Chris were planning a 500-person wedding when all of 2020 happened and everything came to a halt. But rather than postpone, they got creative! A friend offered up their basketball court and in four weeks time, the couple and their vendors had built out a boho oasis dream venue! (Oh, and currently, the transformation has 1.1 million views on TikTok.) Here’s what Breanna shared about their inspiration:
I wanted people to be captivated by the beauty that surrounded them — from the flowers to the palm leaves on the arch to the custom neon sign and our 90-foot flower wall. To me, all these handpicked elements symbolized the elegance and beauty that is our love. Chris and I both have always been very hands-on when it comes to DIY projects, so being a part of the transformation was really a very rewarding and reflective experience of who we are.
B + C also turned to TinSparrow Events for design + planning expertise, and Alex Lasota Photography to photograph all the details of the day!
Ladies First
Before the big day, friends and family stayed in a “COVID pod” so that all 50 guests could celebrate safely. Vendors all practiced social distancing + wore masks during the event, as well.
YES, you can still have a big bridal party at an intimate wedding — you do you! Breanna’s ladies wore Fame and Partners dresses which reflected the pretty light.
And everyone carried lovely pink + terracotta bouquets by Simplified Celebrations!
How handsome is this crew?!
The Basketball Court Wedding Venue Transformation
Not what you expected, right?! It takes effort to bring a wedding on a basketball court to life:
The transformation took vision and a lot of hard work from our family and friends. My Dad and Chris practically built the entire thing themselves in four weeks. When it was finished, it felt intimate — like it was ours. Which, because we custom built it to our vision, it was! It came out better than all of my wildest dreams!
SO pretty, right?!
The Ceremony at Court
Chris: The most special moment was the first look when Bre walked down the aisle. I had not seen her or her dress at all before the wedding. I was brought to tears with how beautiful she was and how blessed I was to be marrying her.
Bre: I had been dreaming of my wedding day and walking down the aisle since I was a little girl. Seeing Chris in tears as I walked down the aisle, clinging tightly to my dad, was the best feeling in the world and one I will never forget.
Another was our first dance, it was one of the sweetest moments. The lyrics of the song being sung by Chris’s sister and our close friend had us both in tears. It was nothing short of magical. We were dancing under bistro lights and a starry night sky surrounded by all of our family and close friends. I could have stayed there in that moment forever.

Here Come the Newlyweds
Breanna did a quick change into this lovely A&N Luxe number!
Courtside Reception
While the newlyweds dashed off for a few photos, the basketball court was transformed once again for the reception! To adhere to state guidelines, the guestlist was cut down and B + C offered further precautions like a mask + sanitizing station in addition to spaced seating for individual families.
Remember the end goal! The details and décor add so much magic to the wedding day but the reason it all is happening is because you are in love! So, focus on that love. Work as a team and let your love inspire and create the beauty of the best day of your life!
Such a stunning example of creative solutions can come together for the DREAMIEST day! And for another look at how it all came together, here’s a sweet film by Bèl Zèv Films:
