What an absolute pleasure to be sharing the work of yet another of our wonderful Little Book wedding directory members, the charming  Jennifer Jane Photography.

Jennifer is a Devon based wedding photographer, with a feminine, relaxed and fine art vibe to her work. She loves to work with stylish couples with wild hearts and adventurous souls and she was in her element directing this editorial.

“Inspired by the series of illustrated children’s books, Brambly Hedge, an idyllic spot where old values flourish and seasonal self-sufficiency is the order of the day. This shoot was designed with the beautiful English countryside in mind.”

“We set out to rekindle feelings of tradition within the design, to create a luxurious and formal take on getting married in the country.”

“The quintessential Crowcombe Court served as the perfect setting for an ethereal story. set in the Quantock Hills in Somerset an area of outstanding natural beauty, with its period features and idyllic gardens.”

“When it came to the details, we took inspiration from nature whilst maintaining a delicate and ethereal sentiment. Soft peaches and pinks gave a light and summery feel to the design, working well with a palette of ivory and green.”

“Honeysuckle and English roses worked perfectly together within the floral design, keeping to tradition yet adding a wild and modern twist. Keeping in line with the luxurious sentiment, gold accents worked well amongst the grand features of the estate.”

“From crystal cut glassware to gold rimmed charger plates, the tablescape shot a refined and welcoming setting for a traditional wedding breakfast.”

Bramble and Wild used seasonal flowers including cosmos, David Austin garden roses, phlox, astilbe, raspberry foliage, lysimachia, nigella, Sweet peas and blackberries for the table decor, bouquet and buttonhole and the showstopper ceremony arch on the gazebo to create the dreamy countryside feel.”

“The cake and afternoon dessert table was created by Baking Chick, who made a beautiful and elegant 3-tier buttercream cake, featuring a printed sugar wrap design and stencilled buttercream. It was topped with the seasonal flowers used in the floral displays. To compliment were 2 doughnut towers either side and a selection of iced cakesicle sweet treats. Creating a luxurious and elegant dessert table whilst still maintaining the quintessential countryside feel.”

“The bride wore a romantic form-fitting dress from Lovely Bridal. Which had a translucent bodice, deep V neck and light boning for support. Exquisite hand-cut Sakura petals covered the bodice and cascade over the skirt. At the waist, a narrow band emphasises her curves, while layers of fine ivory and nude tulle form a full, sweeping skirt and train and give the skirt it’s peach hue.”

“This was teamed with nude Ted Baker heels, and delicate gold and pearl jewellery from Rachel Sokhal Bridal Accessories to finish the look.”

“The groom wore a fawn coloured 3-piece suit with white shirt and floral detailed tie from Ted baker which complimented the bride and blended with the soft peaches of the colour palette.”
