We’re just now realizing how awesome denim fringe looks against a snowy, winter setting! We love wedding inspiration that teaches us new things, and supports brides + the wedding community. Today’s editorial does both!
The planning and design team at Wild + Wed pull us into this icy inspiration: As I was dreaming up this styled winter elopement, I realized there weren’t many sources of inspiration for New England couples choosing to get hitched during this traditional ‘off season’ in our region. Yes, it gets cold and some venues in New England close for the winter, but we wanted to show couples that it’s still possible to plan a dreamy day in the winter!
That’ll show ’em! What better setting for a winter elopement in New England than the snowy mountains in Wadleigh State Park. And, yes, that’s some fresh powder! Bundle up… Shelby Rose Photography is about to take us through a rad wonderland.
Free-Spirited Ice Queen
Are those the coolest (literally) tulips you’ve ever seen?! Thistle, rust roses + icy greens bring so much intrigue to this bridal bouquet. Twig + Briar brings the depth of the season to this New England winter elopement.
Icy queen! The nice thing about this Kameron dress from BHLDN is that is pairs well with juuust about anything. For example, each of these edgy + lunar-inspired denim jackets make for the perfect elopement styling!
Cat’s out of the bag…we love a fringe look! If you do, too, here’s how to DIY a fringe jean jacket.
What a Winter Elopement in New England Can Be!
What’s really special about this jacket is it’s part of The Borrowed & Blue Project. The project’s mission is simple: to empower, encourage + unite badass brides for the greater good. Each bride who is part of the movement gets to rock a one-of-a-kind jacket on their wedding day in exchange for making a donation to a nonprofit. After the wedding is over, the jacket is then shipped to the next bride and its legacy lives on. That’s denim doing good!
Phases of the moon + hand-lettering.
How do you like the black denim jacket? It’s such a cool look for a chilly celebration; and on the other hand, it pairs well with a folky bridal hat!
