Mandi + Greg put their wedding plans on hold—but a little practice never hurts, right? These two put forth their best bride + groom looks (hers happily included three vintage wedding dresses) for some colorful Brooklyn stoop wedding inspiration! The creative team transformed a Park Slope brownstone on a dreary day into a bright imagining of an elopement with fun + attainable at-home wedding details. Photographer Sylvie Rosokoff gave us a peek into the inspiration:
Drawing from muted neon tones and inspired by our main fashion piece – a stunning iridescent sequined vintage Fred Perlberg gown from the ’60 – we meshed our couple’s inner shine with some outward sparkle and Brooklyn glam. We embraced the backyard or front stoop as the most “it” venue this season. If wedding plans need to scale down, why not do it with three vintage wedding dresses and an abundance of celebratory sweets?
It all came together with planning by Julie Lindenman Events and creative genius from several local vendors + businesses. Let’s have a look!
Vibrant Floral Installation Vibes
We are SQUEALING inside.
This iridescent-inspired masterpiece comes by way of Brooklyn Blooms. A dramatic mix of dahlias, orchids, baby’s breath, coxcomb, carnations, hydrangea, marigolds, grasses, and so much more along the brownstone banister.
The juxtaposition of modern cheery color against the of-another-era building is simple perfection—that perfect “here and now” NYC feeling.
Bridal Beauty in Three Vintage Wedding Dresses
If you’re here for the fashion, let’s get started, shall we? Mandi’s first gown was an Oscar de la Renta from the ’60s. She wore it for some neighborhood snaps prior to the vow exchange.
Jalise Wright and 25th and Jane gave Mandi a new hair + makeup look to accompany each vintage dress.

The Incandescent + Iridescent Bride-to-Be
Ooooh, beauty!!! This Fred Perlberg ’60s gown from Happy Isles in LA was the sequined stunner that started it all!
Mandi’s colorful bouquet, complete with a hand-painted leaf, pulled from the tones from the iridescent gown.
And we just adore that floral hairpiece inspired by Billie Holiday!
Best pup needs to accessorize, too!
Vows on the Stoop
It’s just the perfect background, is it not?

Between this happy day and Elaine Welteroth’s jaw-dropping Brooklyn stoop wedding, brownstone elopements are officially our new favorites.
Goods Gang created some bold + fun vow books and signs to use for a marriage announcement!
Cue the Funfetti
Biodegradable confetti was a no-brainer.
As was a funfetti-center cake! TP Bakes baked up a shimmery shag one-tier cake inspired by Mandi’s iridescent gown.
Champagne, Cake, Pizza, and Repeat
Mandi’s final dress was a Jessica McClintock from the late ’90s—major Clueless vibes!! Perfect for champagne + post-vow snacks.
Stoop kids eat stoop cake!
What goes better with cake + bubbly than pizza and to-go cocktails? Local faves Roberta’s Pizza and Elsa provided the goods!
Can you fit more delightful elements into one photo?! At-home weddings/elopements are where it’s at…bonus points for stoops and pizza. Major applause to the creative team who made this beautiful day happen!
