Perfect for the skiing couple, it’s a vintage- inspired wedding in the snow! Slim Aaron’s infamous 1964 photograph, Verbier Vacation, features joyful families in technicolor lawnchairs enjoying the views of snow-covered mountain peaks. It captures that quintessential Colorado 60s and 70s ski era, and it happens to be the inspiration for this winter wedding photoshoot. Event Designers, Agency PR, and Planners, ANA Trios Solutions, filled the brand new venue, Treehaus Colorado, with electric yellow marigolds, 1970s- inspired decor, and a couple rocking some retro ski attire. Katie, from Agency PR shares:
On this groovy snow-kissed day, Veuve Clicquot bottles were popped, one-piece ski suits were stepped into, vintage sleds set the stage, along with an Airstreams, a daisy bouquet, an alter made from skis, record players, disco balls, and even a sauna, amidst a backdrop that effortlessly blends classic ski memories with bridal couture. The patterns and tones used throughout this styled shoot channeled Colorado’s snow lodge ’70s culture with a nod to high-fashion.

Colorful Florals for a Wedding in the Snow
Perfect Petal nailed the vintage floral look with fun yellow marigolds, dainty daisies and textured yarrow. Aren’t the crisscross skis the perfect backdrop for a slope-loving couple??
Vintage-Inspired Wedding Attire
The lovely couple donned three total outfits for this inspiration shoot. The first features warm and cozy faux fur and 60s + 70s suede and paisley. Dulce Diem Hair & Makeup had them styled with the perfect mic of relaxed and glam. Check out our recent round-up more fun ideas of what to wear for a wedding in the snow!
Cozy Winter Wedding Reception Indoors
The second look for these two was more classic “wedding” but still had an eclectic mix of fabrics and prints. We love this head-to-toe lace wedding dress by A&Be Bridal and also the 1970’s inspired groom attire that mixes prints!
A Disco Dinner Setup
Can you have a retro wedding without disco balls?? Hazel Grove Rentals brought in a perfect mix of mid-century modern inspired furniture rentals to blend with other vintage- inspired artwork and table decor.
Living for these hippie-chic florals!
Elopement Style Reception
Post ceremony and newlywed photoshoot, the couple dined on Sugar Mountain Catering and Lala’s Bakery desserts.
