Let’s say you LOVE that boho-adventure-elopement vibe. You’re envisioning rock faces and skirts blowing in the wind, vast landscapes and terracotta tones. But you also love a classic wedding day—what do you do? Simple. You take a play out of Olivia + Gaige’s book and combine the two! They planned their wedding at an indoor venue in Utah but it still brought ALL the boho desert wedding vibes.
So, how’d they pull it off? We’ll lay it all out for you but first, here’s Olivia with a few details from the day: My inspiration for the design was bohemian desert vibes. We got married the month of our five-year anniversary and ate our favorite wood-fired pizza with all the people who made us who we are. Then we danced the night away under the dreamiest pampas grass chandelier.
They couldn’t have pulled it off without design and planning by Sheri Steele of Steele Magnolias! And—ready for a fun fact?—Olivia’s mom is a photographer! She, Jennifer Anderson Photography, along Bev Robison Photography captured the day together. What a special way to view the wedding, through the eyes of a mother!
A Boho Desert Wedding Begins with Color
If you’ve got bridesmaids, there’s almost no better place to begin introducing your color palette. Olivia brought in desert tones by dressing her girls in rusty, sandy, golden tones with lots of texture from Baltic Born. We love a mismatched bridal lineup!
Gaige’s suit from True Gentleman Supply was the perfect rust-orange color to carry over the theme!
And truthfully, no one does a boho wedding dress like Rue de Seine! Olivia was set on this one from the start.
Finding my dress was quite seamless. I knew I wanted a Rue de Seine since I was 18 and had my eyes on the Reno. Only one dress shop in Utah (Alta Moda) had it in stock. I tried it on and was out within 20 minutes. It was love at first sight!
Indoor Venue with an Outdoor Feel
Pampas grass lovers, please report for duty. Steele Magnolias designed a massive pampas chandelier and paired it with plenty of terracotta details to bring those desert tones inside!
Cuties!

Boho Reception with Southwestern Vibes
Oh, do we love a low table!
Inside, the tables were set with photos of Olivia + Gaige, along with plenty more pampas grass and vintage decor.
SO CUTE.
More desert tones and native plants to capture the feeling!
Make decisions early and hire a wedding planner/designer. I was in tears when I walked into my venue on my wedding day and all my dreams had come to life. There were so many helping hands that made it possible for me to take the day in and have less stress. It was PRICELESS!
The perfection that is this sweetheart table.
Donut Wall + a Marble Cake
Finally, a sweet display of donuts + wedding cake rounded out the celebration!
Neon over a woven wall hanging giving us LIFE.
And here’s a close-up of the darling marble cake by Annie’s Cakes!
Such a beautiful day bringing all those boho desert feels! All our congrats to Olivia + Gaige!
