“The venue itself boasts sustainable values, which we really all need to be aware of more.”

“As well as this, it was important to use suppliers with the same morals and ethics, and a must with being inclusive for wanting to showcase more LGBTQ+ representation within the very heteronormative Wedding industry.”

“With Covid comes different types of Weddings, to just with the numbers but with the overall day, space you have and things you do. The Palm House at the Matara centre seemed the perfect area for an intimate Wedding, and not one I’d seen used a lot for that venue.”

“The venue itself boasts sustainable values, which we really all need to be aware of more. As well as this, it was important to use suppliers with the same morals and ethics, and a must with being inclusive for wanting to showcase more LGBTQ+ representation within the very heteronormative wedding industry.”

“With some open areas, some with glass, getting the perfect green house feel, and plants everywhere, it was a gorgeous area to style and make into a sweet little Wedding location.”

“We really wanted the venue to talk for itself, adding elements within the styling to make it feel like it had been there all the time. Adding small pops of colour with the stationary and flowers, but really letting botanical feel over ride everything. The small table set up, draping and flowers and plants everywhere, really added to the romantic and intimate feel.”

“The grazing box set up was also key for the intimate Wedding, with many venues not allowing these with Covid, all the “boxes” were displayed and plated separately. This is perfect for a small Wedding within a pandemic.”

“Both the flowers and the styling were huge parts to transform the area into something special, but we also used the gorgeous grounds of the Matara Centre, including the woodlands and open areas.”

“The cake(s) fitted with the botanical feel perfectly, as well as the stationary really adding some more character and fun to the day.”

“The stationery was bespoke and made from a variety of recycled eco-friendly papers. The flowers and foliage were all locally grown and foraged, making it perfect to really added to the space.”

“I decided to have both James & Steven in suits and button holes, however there was also a Wedding bouquet also. Flowers are so important and special, and I think it added something so perfect to their outfits.”
