The HAC, City of London

The ornate 19th century architecture of the Kimpton Fitzroy hotel makes this hotspot gloriously glam. This London wedding venue feels like something of an insider’s secret. Comprising of several modern and adaptable rooms, there’s a sleek and vibrant space for any size of party here. The venue’s outdoor courtyard is the perfect setting for a tranquil reception (your guests won’t even feel they’re in central London), surrounded by a pretty garden wall. And with a retractable roof and an open fire, it can be used all year round. Having only recently opened its doors to wedding parties, Boundary in East London offers couples an alternative urban setting for their wedding venue. Housed in a converted Victorian warehouse in the city’s hippest district, you will can say your vows, dine and throw shapes all night long in the open brick vault or enjoy champagne, canapés and the sunset over Shoreditch from the venue’s glass fronted rooftop. As London’s most important example of Brutalist architecture, the cool and contemporary Barbican Conservatory is ideal for those thinking outside the box with regards to weddings venues in London. With the backdrop of the 200-year-old Victorian building and the contemporary buzz of St Pancras International station, this is old-meets-new space is one London’s coolest wedding venues. With the longest champagne bar in Europe at your disposal, an art deco brasserie-style restaurant and plenty of space for a live band and dancing, you can host anything from grand soirées for 400 guests to intimate dinners for 25. Plus you’re perfectly positioned to whisk yourselves away to the Med or for a Paris minimoon on the Eurostar after.

The Ned, The City of London

The crème de la crème of city elegance, The Ned is an exclusive club and hotel with six rooms and terraces available for private wedding hire. Capacities range from 10 to 200 guests, to cater for all types of weddings. A former Midland Back building, The Ned showcases the very best of 1920s design, including walnut-panelled walls, glittering chandeliers and original tapestries. Patrons of the venue will also note the incredible rooftop, with stunning views of St Paul’s Cathedral and the City of London.

The Savoy, The Strand

Already affirmed as one of the best hotels in the capital this luxury five-star offering is now topping the charts as one of London’s best wedding venues. There are a number of rooms to both tie the knot and celebrate with friends and family afterwards, but our personal favourite is the Lancaster Ballroom. The opulent space is totally flexible to your needs, with elegant hand-painted walls, sparkling chandeliers and plenty of room for dinner, first dances and refined revelry. And with a separate entrance on the river side of the hotel, there really is no better spot for a lavish central London do.

10-11 Carlton Terrace, St James’s Park

Formerly the residence of Prime Minister William Gladstone, and overlooking St James’s Park and The Mall, this stunning Grade I-listed townhouse is located in one of the city’s most exclusive postcodes. Available for both ceremonies and receptions – as separate rooms for smaller weddings or as one exclusive party pad – the black marble staircase, golden chandeliers and painted ceilings provide a sophisticated canvas for you to decorate and dress as you like. There’s so much that makes this space a true one-off, but our favourite this is how private and exclusive it feels.
