The breathtaking Amalfi Coast was the backdrop for today’s glorious celebration. With panoramic coastal views, lush greenery and a bride wearing a sophisticated yet modern, silk gown from Halfpenny London, this is a wedding I will remember for years to come.
On 28 August 2021, Elizabeth and Paolo wed at Grand Hotel Tritone, Praiano, Amalfi, Italy in a sun-drenched celebration overlooking the Amalfi Coast. Relaxed and intimate, the couple injected fun and colour with their choice of bright, seasonal flowers that were local to the region.

The bride chose to wear Halfpenny London, and she looks so beautiful in her modern and elegant, halterneck gown which is perfect for the summer, coastal vibe of the day.
Here at Love My Dress we are huge fans of Halfpenny London’s luxury wedding gowns which are timeless yet contemporary. I particularly love the full bow which flows from the back of the gown.
She wore her favourite summer fragrance, Tom Ford White Patchouli and a pair of glittering Manolo Blahnik heels.
Alessandro Mancino Studios her light, fresh make-up and styled her hair in a chic, low bun.
“I 100% recommend the Halfpenny London flagship store in London. The service was fantastic, despite Covid restrictions in London when I first started looking for dresses.”
“I loved the simplicity of my silk dress.”
The bride carried a bouquet of full-blown roses, made by Isabelle Kirchner of Ravello Wedding Flowers, who also created the incredible floral arch and the rest of the floral arrangements.
“We opted for bright colours – pinks, blues, yellows – to add to the fun atmosphere.”
“All flowers were local to the region and in season, which was important to us.”
The civil ceremony was held outside on the clifftop terrace, shaded from the August sun by the pergola.
The bride walked down the aisle with her father and the ceremony was led by the Mayor of Praiano.
Mirroring the intense blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea, Paolo wore a navy blue suit from Boggi Milano with a lighter blue tie from E. Marinella.
“Pino Rispoli provided the entertainment which included a string quartet and pianist for the ceremony and reception.”
‘My favourite moment was seeing each other as I came down the aisle and during the ceremony.”
Paolo and Elizabeth exchanged rings from Queensmith in Hatton Garden, London, which was recommended by a friend.
Photographer Maison Pestea has captured the emotion of the day and the wonderful setting in this incredible set of photographs.
I particularly love Peggy’s use of vivid colour.
“I found Peggy’s account on Instagram and loved that she captured a lot of smaller ceremonies, which is what I was looking for.”
“I found her pictures to be super-romantic and I also liked that she captured nature and surroundings in her pictures, key for the Amalfi Coast.”
Elizabeth wore a full-length, lace veil, also from Halfpenny London and added some special pieces of jewellery: a Cartier Love bracelet, Jessica McCormack Gypset earrings and a borrowed tennis bracelet.
Elizabeth and Paolo met in 2014 through mutual work friends and moved in together in 2015.
“We didn’t get engaged until February 2019, during a weekend away in Florence. We delayed our wedding by three months from May to August 2021 because of Covid.”
“There were no particular restrictions on the day itself. However, all guests had to provide proof of vaccination or negative test result to attend.”
“Grand Hotel Tritone in Praiano has panoramic views and a serene atmosphere.”
“My husband used to vacation in Praiano with family and we wanted to have a similar vibe: low-key and familiar but elegant.”

The newly-weds and their small group of guests moved inside for the wedding breakfast and cake, both provided by the Grand Hotel Tritone.
“We used a UK graphic designer from Etsy to design invites, menus and place cards.”
“Our wedding cake was a three-tier sponge cake with berries and Chantilly cream filling.”
After dinner, the guests watched the sun go down before dancing to music from a DJ.
Words of Wedded Wisdom
“Think about the bigger picture and don’t worry too much on the minor details, and enjoy the day!”
Thank you, Maison Pestea, for transporting us to the Amalfi Coast today with your vibrant photographs full of storytelling and emotion. And, Elizabeth and Paolo, thank you and congratulations on your marriage.
