Ideas

These lovely vibrant wedding editorial images were inspired by the mediterranean sunset and captured on location at Brickhouse Vineyard – a hidden gem of a wedding venue nestled in breathtaking rolling Devon countryside.

Conceived and directed by wedding stylist and stationery designer Nikki, of Knots & Kisses, these images transform the 18th Century Round House and oak beamed ceremony and reception spaces at Brickhouse Vineyard, with delicious earthy tones and lighter colours inspired by the dreamy warm and hazy hues of a romantic sunset.

Brickhouse Vineyard Devon Wedding Venue

Tables dotted with tall taper candles on minimalist gold stands, gold rimmed glasses, earthen toned napkins and tableware are complemented by floral installations that included fresh flowers, dried flowers and ferns and just enough table flowers to add perfect balance and beauty to the scene.

The aim of this editorial was to create a realistic Mediterranean atmosphere that complemented the overall feel of the vineyard setting. As a stylist at Knots & Kisses, I wanted that beautiful relaxed look but without the obvious colour palette of greens, sea blues and lemons. Nikki Sheriff, Knots & Kisses

“I decided to go a different direction and took my inspiration from a warm Mediterranean Sunset, with shades of lilac, mauve, apricot and terracotta, with the beautiful green vines and hills and warm patio as a wonderful backdrop.”

“The theme and colour palette then naturally led us to want to create a relaxed but elegant feel, echoing laid back looks of Italy in the 60s, with double breasted suits, ponytails, bows and of course the Vespa as wedding transport!”
